Silhouette sat on the tip of the frozen peak that rose above Pyrothys camp, looking down on the world. Ghost could see the sea in the distance, and the cold air whipped flare’s perfect luscious blue fur into a sorry mess. Normally, this would bother the young princess greatly, but today, it felt right. Back when she was in UrchinClan, the closest thing flare could get to freedom was climbing the rock stacks at the edge of camp. And now, the whole world was ghost’s oyster. The fact that she had all this at ghost’s paws made her begin to think. Was she really a ghost anymore? Was she really just the outline, the silhouette of a cat? No. She was something more now. Flare looked down at her paws. Who had she become? Who could flare become? Snapdragonkit had become a basilisk, a powerful ancient snake. If she could change into something more powerful, surely ghost could too? Her heterochromic gaze found the fires that lined the pyrothys camp, before they found the scorched MossClan territories beyond. Fire. That was who she was. But she was so much more than that too. Flare was the creator of power. The maker of fire. She was a dragon. But the word ‘dragon’ was so…… dull. So unoriginal. So not her. But Dragontine….. that was her name. Princess Dragontine. Perfect. But flare wasn’t done, for the word ‘ghost’ no longer described her. She was something magical, something unique. Fae. Marvelous. Flare would scorch all her enemies, and no one would stop her. Ever. (ERP! Silhouette is now called Dragontine, and goes by she/fae/flare pronouns!)
