Hey guys!! Sooo I decided not to give up, and to make part 2 of this fanfic. This fanfic takes place when Marinette is not the guardian, Luka and Kagami don't exist, and Chat loves Ladybug while Mari loves Adrien. Please. I beg you. DON'T READ THIS until you have read part one!! This won't make any sense WHATSOEVER if you read this first. Here's the link to the first one: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1230499935 I have warned you... Let's start!! (Kinda cringe) Adrien's hand shook as he touched the door. Ladybug would have to be squished between her biggest phobia. And there was nothing he could do to comfort her. This wasn't supposed to happen. Now thanks to him, Ladybug was going to reveal her identity, live on thousands of tv channels. She and her family and friends were all going to be in danger. Her house was going to be surrounded by reporters, harassing her even at midnight. And it was all his fault. Alya pushed through the crowd of reporters. "Let Ladybug go! Everyone turn off your cameras!" She pleaded with them. No one listened to her, all wanting to be in on the scoop of the century. Adrien saw the slow flash of pink light through the crack at the bottom of the door. He peeked under the door to see familiar flats. He watched as they slowly stepped, turning around to face the reporters. Adrien held his breath, unshed tears overwhelming his eyes. But he wouldn't cry. He wouldn't cry. He wouldn't cry. He would stay strong for her. He heard a shaky voice. "My name is Marinette Dupain-Cheng." Adrien heard as she all but DARED the reporters to come in, and that she would give 'em the old one-two if they tried. Adrien couldn't take it anymore. His tears flowed freely down his face as he struggled to hold back a sob. He had always wanted to know his lady's identity, but not like this. Not by finding out his shy, sweet, just-a-friend was going to become the face all over Paris because of him. Plagg eyed him sympathetically as he cried. He opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted. "I swear if this is about your cheese. I will strangle your tiny neck." Adrien told him in a dry, yet deadly voice. Plagg floated towards him, smashing into his cheek in a small hug. "It is." Plagg said. Adrien looked outraged. "M'LADY IS OUT THERE, PROBABLY SCARED TO DEATH, AND ALL YOU CARE ABOUT IS YOUR ROTTEN CHEESE?!?!" He shouted at Plagg. Plagg rubbed Adrien's cheek in comfort. "Of course not, Adrien. I care about Pigtails as much as you. But unless you want her to break down and have a panic attack on every channel in the world, you have to feed me so you can transform and help her!" Adrien shook his head. "No, Plagg, there's no time! I should just get out there, and-" but as he reached for the door handle, Plagg screamed. "NOOO! Then Pigtails' sacrifice would all be for nothing! Feed me the damn cheese, and transform you idiot!!" Plagg yelled desperately. Adrien saw his point. He roughly snatched the cheese out of his coat pocket, and practically pried Plagg's mouth open, shoving the cheese down his throat. Plagg coughed, then swallowed, his eyes watering. "I could have eaten it myself, you kno-" "PLAGG, CLAWS OUT!!!" Alya watched as her idol's transformation dropped. How her idol went from superhero to- HER BEST FRIEND?!?! "Oh my god." Alya muttered, hands over her mouth. She turned off her camera and pushed through the crowd of reporters, all shouting with questions. "MARINETTEEEE!!!!!!!!" Alya screamed as she pushed through the crowd. She finally reached her side. "Marinette I am so, so, so sorry, I- wait, are you okay?" Marinette was shaking, unable to respond. "PLAGG, CLAWS OUT!!!" They heard someone scream behind the shed door, and they saw a flash of green light. The door was kicked open, revealing an absolutely LIVID Chat Noir. His teeth were bared, his eyes flashing with anger. He was growling. The reporters and the people of Paris watching live all shuddered. His once friendly, handsome features were rearranged into a face filled with upmost rage. Marinette whimpered. For a heart-breaking moment, she thought the anger was directed at her. She knew it. He was disappointed that it was her. He was going to tell her that he hated her and- "M'lady..." she heard his voice, snapping out of her thoughts. "C-Chat N-Noir?" She asked him, a sob threatening to escape her, lips wobbling. His angered features softened into a look of concern at his terrified partner. He walked up to her, closing the space between them. He was so close he could count her eyelashes. Marinette leaned back slightly, letting another whimper escape her. Chat Noir enveloped her in a hug. "You shouldn't have had to do that for me, Bugaboo. I promise everything will be okay." He murmured into her ear. He then shielded her from the crowd of reporters. She breathed out in relief. She hadn't realized she had been holding her breath the whole time. He was still calling her by her nickname. He wasn't angry at her. Scroll to credits!
But oh boy was he mad at those reporters. He growled at them in anger. The closest reporters backed off, all except for Alya. She looked at him with pleading eyes, trying to tell him by her look that she had tried to stop the reporters. He nodded ever so slightly at her, giving her his silent consent to comfort Marinette as he gave the reporters a piece of his mind. She cautiously walked over to Marinette, grabbing her by her hand, all but dragging her towards the now empty shed. She closed the door, trusting Chat Noir to guard the door with his life, as his lady had just done for him. Marinette collapsed onto her knees, breathing heavily. Her whole body was trembling. Her pupils were dilated in absolute terror. She looked at her hands, resting on her lap, to see them shaking violently. "Mari. Mari, breathe! Come on, breathe with me!!" Alya put her hands on Marinette's shoulders. "Mari, snap out of it!!" Tikki went through the fabric of her purse, and hugged Marinette's cheek. She addressed Alya tearfully. "Hello, Alya. I'm Marinette's kwami, Tikki." Alya looked at the red genie. "Hello, Tikki. Is there anything I could do to help her?" Tikki shook her head. "Let's just wait until she calms down." Alya nodded, soothing her panicking friend by rubbing circles on her back. Chat Noir hissed angrily at the reporters. "I can't believe you. You the reporters, who don't know where to draw the line, and you, the people of Paris," he addressed the people watching on the other side of the reporter's cameras. "Who didn't have the decency to turn off your tv's when you saw it was getting out of hand. We save this city EVERY FREAKING DAY without getting anything in return, and how do you thank us? By using our trust of the good of the people of Paris. By invading our privacy. By not knowing when to stop. Now, Ladybug, her family, and her friends will all be in danger because of YOU." He spat, and the reporters recoiled. "Now Hawk Moth can target her, even kill her, to get her miraculous. Then Paris will be in danger too. You reporters have disappointed us, and put the innocent people of Paris in danger. Now LEAVE. You've already done enough damage for one day." He snarled. No one moved. Chat Noir lost it. "LEAVE, OR I WILL CATACLYSM THE LOT OF YOU!" At the word, his cataclysm blanketed his hand menacingly. The reporters wisely turned off their cameras and ran for dear life. Chat Noir sighed, ready to comfort his lady and make sure that she knew. That she knew he still loved her, that if not more than before. Part 3 next week!!
