Fanfic details/description: Ok guys first of all! I am writing a new fanfic again! THIS time, called Zeldapunzel. Kidnapped only as an infant and locked away in a mysterious tower by an evil sorceress, Zelda is forced to live in isolation. But when hordes of monsters sweep across Hyrule, a courageous knight and his companions are sent to venture into the unknown. Will they stumble upon the Princess, and protect the kingdom from the impending doom before it's too late? This time I am determined to finish this one. I already have all Chapter 2, and part of Chapter 3 finished. Plus a summary of the first half of the story. AND I EVEN MADE COVER ART! (sorry it's a little blurry! SCRATCH WHYYYY-) So....that means I have tons of motivation lol :) Now, with a further ado...I present you the first chapter of ZELDAPUNZEL! Zeldapunzel Once upon a time in the magical grassy lands of Hyrule, there lived a loving king and queen who ruled over their beloved kingdom. Soon, a princess would also join them—for the queen was pregnant! One day, the King’s wife fell gravely ill. In spite of saving her, he did everything in his power to cure her. Unfortunately, nothing prevailed and the King became devastated. Becoming desperate to save his Queen, he prayed to the gods. Pleading to them from his heart to save her from her tragic fate. The Golden Goddesses decided to bless him with a powerful sacred object. The mystical Triforce, which granted anyone's most precious desire. The Queen swiftly recovered, as the kingdom rejoiced with joy. But, once happiness is found, darkness always lurks behind. A dark sorceress known as Ailyh crept into the gorgeous sacred realm. Seeking her own dark purposes, she tried thieving the Triforce. To protect the Triforce from evil, the Goddesses bestowed it upon the unborn Princess, Zelda. Ailyh, angered for what the Gods have done, swept Hyrule in search of it. She sensed a great disturbance of flowing energy in Hyrule Castle. Determined to claim the Triforce’s power, she kidnapped the infant princess, who was never seen again. The king and queen, heartbroken, sent out countless search parties. After a few months of no triumph, they were forced to presume her deceased. Little did they know, the little Princess’s power, would shape her world in ways no one would imagine. In the distant corner of Hyrule, now lived the locked up Princess. Alone she lived in an old red brick tower, alongside the evil sorceress. Since Zelda’s kidnapping, 18 years have surprisingly passed. This is where our tale truly begins…. Zelda’s POV I laid peacefully on my soft wool mattress. The sun shone on my squishy face, and my golden hair split like a mop on my pillow. It felt as if there were no worries in the world, as I attempted to drift farther away. My green eyes squeezed shut grasping onto sleep, as my heart pounded with anxiety. “Zelda! I made your favorite!” Echoed Alyih from down the wooden stairs. My eyes immediately fluttered open, as I sprung out of bed. I gently then met my feet with the imperfect creaky floor. Alyih turned around sinking eye contact with me. “Well look who got up,” She chuckled. Her witch-like nose wiggled when she laughed. My expressionless face transitioned into a bright smile. “Oh, morning Grandma!” I called out excitedly. I zoomed across the squeaky floorboards like a cheetah. My arms stretched wide to reach the side of the stair railing. I hurriedly jumped up on top of the curved railing and slid down. The smell of breakfast crept into my nose. Today's the day! My birthday! It felt like my mind kept constantly reminding me. I will finally ask her, to see what finally lies beyond! I slid down the railing my legs and arms met leaping onto the old floor, making the perfect landing. “Geez! What are you excited about? It looks like you just had a crazy dream,” Alyih exclaimed, tossing fried juicy eggs into a pan. I jolted up from my crouched position, my smile just like the sun. “Nope! Even better than a dream! I have something I really want to talk to you about,” I screeched, not being able to hide the excitement on my face. Alyih paused her icy eyes glaring in my direction like a hawk. “If this is about what I think it's about-” I cut her off, not being able to hold it in any longer. “YES! IT IS! I want to see Hyrule,” I screamed, pouncing up and down, my arms swinging back and forth. Aliyh’s crusty hands almost dropped the black frying pan. Her wrinkly hands became stiff, as the atmosphere suddenly grew cold. “Zelda, how many times do I have to tell you? Going out there is dangerous!” She snapped, her rosy cheek face filled with anger. I stepped back, my shiny forehead starting to sweat in fear. “No more bringing up this subject. EVER,” She said sternly, as she rotated back towards the metal frying pan. My head tilted down in disappointment like a child who just lost a toy. “Ok,” I whispered, slowly drifting my head further and further down.
My Emerald green eyes stared down at the tattered floor, as I clenched my smooth hands in rage. “Grandma, when can I see it?” I asked, looking for a ray of hope in her words. She stayed there shaking her pan refusing to answer my question. She extended her thin arms, and carried the medium pan over to the table. The table was beaten up from previous use and two comfy stools awaited us both. She lowered her arms bringing them slightly above the china plates, and she shoved the eggs off. Bringing the pan down on top of the birch table, and reaching her leg for the chair. She pulled the spruce stool out, returning her leg to its rightful position. Afterwards, she sat down like she was someone famous. “We're not discussing this Zelda. Now come sit,” she firmly told me glancing down at the well made gooey egg. I lifted my head up and grumpily walked over slouching my back. I ripped out my stool and plopped myself down, almost breaking it. I grabbed my wooden fork and met it with my yummy egg, stabbing it. To my surprise, when I finally looked up Grandma pushed back her brown stool, and left for her bedroom. “Where are you-” I wondered, but got cut off as Grandma held up her scrawny pale hand. That was the signal I knew when I should stop talking.
