☕ Henry is typing... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ☕ Hello everyone! Welcome to my DMC! I'm so glad I finally got all the refs together so I could post this, haha... ☕"What is a DMC?" DMC stands for "Draw My Character." You just draw one of my characters, and then I judge your art and give out prizes! ☕ "Cool! When's the due date?" Honestly, I don't know. As a rough estimate, I'd say maybe around April or May so people have time (I know we're all procrastinators), but that's a little too close to a lot of my big exams for comfort, so I'm not sure. Just know that you've definitely got plenty of time! ☕ "But Henry, how do I enter?" Either remix this project with your art or send me a link to your submission in the comments. Once I respond to your comment or post a comment on your project, that means I've recieved your submission! All valid submissions will be added to the DMC studio so I can keep track of them. ☕ "Okay, so how many times can I enter?" You can submit as many art pieces of as many of the characters as you like. However, in the interest of fairness, you can only win one place. ☕ "Great! What are the placings and prizes?" Currently, there are 6 characters you can enter for. (Prizes have been changed to overall due to lack of entries.) There will be a 1st through 5th place and 3 honourable mentions. ☕ 1st place - 1 fully rendered scene with up to 2 characters, 2 halfbodies w/ backgrounds, and a sketch. ☕ 2nd place - 1 fully rendered drawing with up to 2 characters, 1 halfbody with backgrounds. ☕ 3rd place - 1 rendered drawing of 1 of your characters, 1 sketch. ☕ 4th place - 1 rendered halfbody w/ a simple bg, 1 sketch. ☕ 5th place - 1 rendered headshot w/ a simple bg, 1 sketch. ☕ honourable mentions - a sketch each. ☕ "What if I don't like the prizes?" I am open to negotiations about prizes! If you win and you don't like what I'm offering, reach out to me and we can discuss. I'm perfectly fine with switching out a drawing for a custom/ref/sticker sheet or something thereabouts, but I won't switch a sketch for, say, a fully rendered scene. It'll stay the same effort level to keep things fair. ☕ "Okay, but who /are/ these guys?!" Belated addition, I know. But I do want to at least give yall some basic info about them, haha. Also, click the character refs for more images. Here we go! → Dante Celias Javisson Venastra: He/him. Leads the Order of the Sun, a sort of religious sect worshipping the sun. Feel free to change his clothes and remove his halo, but please keep his eye scar. → Henry Jekyll: He/him. Do whatever you want with his clothes. He lived in the Victorian Era but do with that what you will. He's a scientist/alchemist and my design of a character from Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. → Edward Hyde: He/it. You can change up his fit and unsharpen his teeth, but his eyes stay bright green lol. Again, my design of a Strange Case character. He's Jekyll's "evil other half". → The Archangel Gabriel: He/they/it/light. Literally the archangel of all heaven in my little story. They've got wings on his back, but they're optional since light can hide them. You can change his fit if you want! → Prince Sunshine: He/they/sun. No last name. Feel free to change up his fit and literally anything of his design other than the face and hair lol. → Basil Llewellyn: They/them. Founder of a scientific institute. Avid botanist and plant lover.
