In July 1925, Robert Stephenson & Co. built S&DJR No. 87 (aka. 53807), as the second member of the Robert Stephenson batch of 7Fs to work on the hilly terrain that the S&D was infamous for, the engine's working life would be as simple as one's life can be; however, when WW2 struck, No. 87 and the other 7Fs (now absorbed into the LMS) would be pulled to help with the war effort and be painted wartime black. However, an Island called the Panifl Isle (Pan-If-L) was on the verge of being destroyed by Germany, so they called out for backup. They eventually bought No. 87 from the LMS, as they already had enough engines running the S&DJR line. So they hastily shipped No.87 over to Panifl and set him to work. No. 87 proved to be more efficient than they expected, being able to pull long military trains while seemingly conquering the hills as if it were no deal. You'd think all the praise would go into his smokebox, but one thing I didn't mention was that... Kerry simply stopped caring during the war. He'd seen the bloodshed, so what else was there to lose? All his emotions were seemingly pushed to the back, leaving a blank expression everywhere he went. He didn't talk a lot and did his work without fault... and emotion. Even after World War II ended and everyone breathed a sigh of relief, Kerry remained more or less emotionless. All the residents of Panifl wanted to keep No. 87 and have him work on the railway, but BR had other ideas. They were in the midst of scrapping the 7Fs and wanted Panifl to return what they thought they were "borrowing". Of course, they didn't understand the lengths the people of Panifl would go to get something they wanted. BR filed a lawsuit against the railway that ran No. 87, the main controller at the time, Kerry Pantala—basically fought tooth and nail to save No. 87 from BR. After a long legal battle, BR relented and let Panifl keep No.87 (with the mindset that they'd probably die out in a few months). Even after Mr. Pantalas' death, his name still lives on, with it being given to No. 87. When a man by the name John Leokim came to the Isle, most of the Panifl residents were wary of him as he seemed too... ambitious for the Isles sake, the people of Panifl were more or less grounded in their beliefs and making their Isle an independent one. So when a man came over and wanted to expand his new company to new heights, you can imagine that everyone was on edge the entire time. Still, John set up shop and set to work building the main facility we know now as the building for L.P. Gas & Steam. His first purchase was none other than Kerry. No one who knew Kerry was happy with this. But to everyone's surprise, Kerry supported his buying (even if he never showed emotion) and told John to say so, just to let people know that he was now fully a LPG member. Afterwards, after the facility was built, Kerry had to do all the work (shunting, pulling trains to the port, etc.). John felt bad, so he bought a small tank engine for a low price and... yeah, you know who I'm talking about. Kerry still works for LPG to this day, dealing with Harper's antics, which is probably a good thing as Harper can be... yeah... Ideal VA: Lorenzo Music
