Previous: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1249500275 First: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1230499935 Chat Noir opened the shed. The door creaked as Alya and Marinette were bathed in newfound sunlight. Chat's heart dropped at the sight of Marinette trembling, taking heaving breaths as Alya tried to comfort her. "M'lady?" Chat Noir started. "Are you okay?" Marinette didn't respond. Or was unable to. "Alya can you please wait outside for a few minutes?" Alya nodded, and exited. She was a Marichat shipper all the way, but she wasn't going to eavesdrop or intervene. She settled on waiting for their discussion to end while standing 20 feet away from the shed door. She wasn't able to hear them, and soon became bored. She then remembered why she was there in the first place, and guiltily reflected on recording Marinette's detransformation live on the Ladyblog. She had an idea. As she made a post on the blog in question, telling her followers to leave Marinette alone, Marinette and Chat Noir's one sided discussion continued. "Bugaboo, please look at me. I need to know if you're okay!" He pleaded with her. She was still panicking, seemingly deaf to his pleas. Chat Noir took a different approach. He sat down next to her. He saw her hands violently shaking, and put his hands over them. She jumped, startled, and finally looked up at him, fear still registered in her eyes. Chat Noir looked at her with worry. "What's wrong?" He asked. He knew what was wrong, of course, but he needed to hear it from her perspective. Marinette shook her head feverishly. Chat Noir wrapped her in a tight hug. "Please, Marinette." Marinette's eyes widened. He almost never called her by her name unless he was being serious. "Please tell me how you feel. I promise you will feel better." He told her, ending their hug. She took a shaky breath. "I-I... Y-You know I d-don't l-like c-c-crowds... and H-Hawkmoth k-knows my identity. My f-family and friends are in d-danger!" She said quietly. He looked at her, filled with sympathy. "But it's not just that, is it? There's more to it than that. Please tell me." He begged her. He needed to know what was going on. To help her. "Y-You... You're in love with L-Ladybug. You were expecting her to be a c-confident, strong, amazing girl, b-but... That is not me. I'm clumsy. I overthink. I panic. I make rash decisions. I jump to conclusions. You don't like the girl. You-You wouldn't even notice Marinette if it weren't for the mask." Chat Noir started to deny her, but she interrupted him, adding to her point. "I even confessed to you that day my dad was akumatized. You rejected me. Would you have rejected me if you knew I was Ladybug? Of course not. But you did when you had the chance when I was a civilian. You love the mask." She finished. "And now you're disappointed that it's just plain old me." Chat Noir was shocked. He opened his mouth to deny it, then closed it, seeing it from her point of view. He had always blindly put Ladybug on a pedestal, labeling Marinette as "just a friend", basically refusing to see her in another way. She was right. He was idolizing the mask, and expecting the girl to live up to unrealistic expectations. He shook his head and smiled. "You are right. I never considered a relationship with you as Marinette. But I would be lying if I said that I always thought of you as only a friend. I always saw you differently than my other friends. I just pushed those feelings aside for Ladybug. But... I still love you. And I think- No. I KNOW that we will find a solution." He put his hands over her shaking ones once again. "Together!" Marinette sniffed. "I... I was in love with Adrien Agreste. He was the boy." Chat Noir's eyes widened in shock. "But... I love you too... and I can learn to forget about him." She told him, wiping her tears. He smiled. "There's no need for that M'lady." She looked at him, confused. "Claws in." In a flash of green light, he was Adrien. She gasped. Then she smiled. He smiled too. And then... They kissed. I know this one was shorter but a lot happened in it. Part 4 next week!
