Generations ago, a young Tom fell in love with a she-cat from a different clan. The two met in secret, hidden from the rest of their clanmates, but that didn't last forever. They were discovered, and given a choice. Leave their lover, or be exiled from their clans. They both chose the latter. It took until sundown for them to find each other after running from their territories. But finally, across the forest-sized lake that separated a large part of the two clans, they spotted each other. Without thinking, they both leapt into the water. Except, these cats weren't made for swimming, nor were they well-practiced at it. The tom fell first - unable to keep his paws moving, slowly sinking to the bottom of the lake. But he didn't land on the soft silt that covered the lake bottom - instead, he landed on StarClan's crystal at the lakefloor. And instead of drowning, StarClan saw him, and granted him a fish tail and gills to live for another day. His lover, the she-cat, sunk next. The tom, hoping to save her, swam to her and pushed her to the crystal, praying to StarClan that they might save her, too. And they did. Her tail too grew fins, and gills appeared on the sides of her neck as on the tom's, and he knew they were saved. Of course, the tom and she-cat had children, and those children found mates from land cats, and generations later, a population of lakecats grew so large that they themselves broke into three clans: The strong and true, SharkClan, The swift and smart, BettaClan, and The bright and cunning, AnglerClan.

Be supportive of all players - no bigotry, such as homophobia, transphobia, racism, or judgement of religion 3. As of December 2025, you are allowed to have two cats. However, this is for a limited time, and once a certain number is reached, no secondary character slots will be given out. - Your two cats can interact, but must not be close and may not become mates or have kits with each other. 4. Be polite to your fellow role-player. Match their comment length, no one-word responses. Try to keep them motivated. 5. If you haven't been accepted but still want to roleplay, note that in your thread starter 6. Respect your fellow role-player's rules and decisions - you need perms to hurt/kill, and to become mates with another player's cat. 7. Your cat can have "crushes" as a kit, but cannot have a lover until becoming an apprentice and cannot mate until reaching warrior status. Kits crushes are not allowed to be serious, as kits aren't actually old enough to comprehend romance, and cannot be anything serious until becoming an apprentice/warrior. 8. Both players must consent to their cats becoming mates, and it must be done in-RP. [Codeword is aquatic.] 9. You do not have to follow clan rules, based off the warrior code (but might be changed by a leader), but if you break the code and are caught, you will be punished accordingly. 10. When making a character reference, they may be missing gills or other distinct features, but if they are it must be marked as non canon-accurate. 11. Your cat ages one moon every Friday 12. To have a cat with a disability or genetic mutation (ex. blindness, albinism, deafness), you must have a paragraph of research at least 100 characters long. 13. You must sign up as a kit, warrior, queen, or elder! Apprentices are too confusing with the whole mentor thing so I am no longer allowing apprentices to sign up.
