hi guys! i know i have been really inactive lately and i apologize a lot - school is just becoming a lot of work and priority as it should've been all along. saying that, i should get into this project because i have homework!! so i wanted to tell y'all about my current writing project. i will not be releasing the title considering i might actually query this and try to get published (even if its not traditionally). saying that, i will also not be releasing a lot of what has been written and what i will be writing because i don't want to give away too much like i have in the past. okay, so this book follows four main characters: Maisely (from the poor village), Esmarie (grew up in castle), Maela (grew up in lower kingdom), and Renwell (the prince). All girls are chosen to go compete in trials for marriage, and Maisely and Ren are also both chosen in the Lottery to compete in the Ascendant Purging (aka the name of the complete series). I am on the second draft of this novel and have been working on it since May and the first draft was... a first draft haha. it will never see the light of day, and something i have learned with this novel is i will not be letting people read my first draft. not that anything bad happened, because in all honesty, i had the best feedback i could ever get. but first drafts are precious and i have just learned that as i am rewiring this plot. right now in the second draft i am 7k words in (the first draft came to a total of 70k words). i will be scrapping that, though, because as i have been planning, i have realized that the first couple of chapters really won't fit in with it. i have also been taking courses and learning how to better myself as a writer and market my book, which means... more content for y'all !! if you want to learn anything else, have any questions, etc... let me know!! i will gladly answer any questions <3 love you guys !
