A Flying Squirrels' Dilemma - Neo Genesis MegaDrive In case the text appears broken... "Originally this project was going to announce the name change of Delta++, due to planning serious reworking of the fundamental core of the framework. After a while of consideration, I have decided to not go through with this. There's a multitude of reasons as to why this is the case. For one, I've been moving away from scratch as of late, and I generally don't find using it very enjoyable, compared to actual languages. Secondly, I don't really see anybody that's going to find what the framework would had had to offer very valuable, due to technical complexity or otherwise. If you wan't my honest opinion as to where you should look towards when making a game, Scratch is at the very bottom of my list. Scratch in it of itself is not bad, it was designed to be an educational tool, and it has served it's function for many. Scratch was never designed to be a tool for creating games, some reasons are quite obvious, and some others are much too detailed to explain here. If you want to make a game, use a game engine. If you want to make a game on a certain peice of hardware, use a library. If you want to learn how these things work, learn how an architecture, compiler and a piece of software operates from head to toe. Don't use Scratch because you don't know anything else, don't be a chainik. If Delta++ is to release, it will be in a working order. When I decide that will be the case is undetermined.
