Toronto,Canada 1933 August 10... Bruno Ferrante was born on February 6, 1917. He came into the world on a brisk night in a small town in upstate New York. Bruno's father was an abusive drunk who worked in a garnet mine. His mother always told Bruno that he looked like his father. This made Bruno angry which his mother said made them look even more similar. When Bruno was 7 his mother had enough of his father and fled the country. In his new home in the streets of Toronto Bruno saw his mother build her way from nothing into a thriving bakery business. Bruno's mother was a tough but kind women who was considered an outsider in the the apartment complex were he grew up. She always talked about how she hated snobs. She taught him that people were cruel and you have to be tough to make it in the world. Bruno had a jewish land lord who his mother always talked trash about. This long hatred developed into antisemitism that Bruno keeps with him to this day. Bruno's mother died when he was 16 from pneumonia. After this Bruno dropped out of high school and moved into a group home with other young men. His mother's bakery failed in the depression, now Bruno Ferrante is unemployed and looking for work. A life of crime with the Italian mob seems to be his only hope. Bruno is a short young man with black hair, dark eyes and a stocky build. He owns a switchblade and is can carry his own in a fight.
