A: UM thriller, dystopian, romance, rom com, sci fi, horror, i'll basically read anything tbh!! Q2: Have you ever finished writing a story? A: i have in essence but i'm always rewriting and creating new scenarios~~ Q3: First person POV, second person POV, or third person POV? A: it's easiest for me to write in first person, i'm trying to do more third person as well! Q4: Do you have a favourite author? If so, who? A: benjamin alire saenz~~ Q5: Do you want to be a writer when you're older? A: i would love to keep it up, but probably not as a career Q6: Do you have any advice for writers? If so, what is it? A: just WRITE!! i've found it's easiest to write whatever i feel like whenever i feel like it. you don't have to work in chronological order, which is something i used to struggle with!! Q7: When it comes to writing, are you a perfectionist? A: definitely, but i'm working on it! i try to get at least 4k on a page before i start scrutinizing, varies with the project though Q8: Have you shared a story on scratch before? A: no, i've shared poems though! Q9: What's your favourite plot structure? (7 point plot structure, hero's journey plot structure, etc) A: i literally have no idea what this means LOL i mean i've learned hero's journey but i never intentionally make an arch... this is probably why i cannot decide on any major points for my novel Q10: What's your inspiration? A: my life, things i would like to experience, philosophy, etc Q11: Do you like making graphic novels/comics? A: i do, i've done them for a lot of school assignments!! they are quite time consuming though Q12: Poetry, or story writing? A: don't do this to me...honestly depends on my mood Q13: Fiction or non-fiction? A: fiction for sure! love non fiction though Q14: What's your favourite book/series? A: aristotle and dante discover the secrets of the universe Q15: Do you believe in writers block? A: yes Q16: What about reader's block? A: also yes, going through it rn! Q17: Do you like putting references in your stories? (references to other books, a movie, songs, etc) A: sometimes, a lot with songs haha Q18: Do you like writing chapter books? A: i used to, nowadays i just write whatever without thinking too much about chapters per say Q19: Realistic fiction or unrealistic fiction? A: realistic! Q20: Have you ever written a character based on someone in real life? A: i don't think so; sure, i've taken inspiration from people in my life, but not enough to claim that any of my characters is based on one certain person Q21: Do you give MBTI personality types to your characters? A: no;_; Q22: Writing in a notebook or writing on google docs? A: again, mood, but for the sake of convenience gdocs! Q23: What do you think is the best thing for someone to do when they get writers block? A: read. and if you're also going through a reader's block, watch a provoking tv show or scroll through book quotes on goodreads
Q24: When did you realize you wanted to be a writer? A: i guess i'll frame this question as when did you find your passion for writing? and that for me was when i was nine. i'm very grateful because all my elementary school teachers from then on really encouraged me!! TY! Q25: Do you have a lot of OCs? A: yes, i mainly write for like five of them though Q26: Do you have a lot of stories you are writing? A: not really, i have my passion project aka my novel and then i occasionally write for a sci fi dystopian idea i had when i was twelve Q27: What's the most difficult part of planning a story? A: literally just planning...the story Q28: Do you do journaling? A: kind of, not so much anymore Q29: Do you write in one specific way/theme, or lots of different ways/themes? e.g. fantasy, third person, non-fiction, first person, second person, fiction, etc A: i think the main thing is i'm a sucker for figurative language and also am always throwing in philosophy Q30: Do you find it hard to write the first chapter/ prologue? A: depends Q31: Have you drawn your characters before? A: yes, multiple times Q32: Have you roleplayed with your characters before? A: no, i have created a lot of fake scenarios in my mind though! Q33: Do you think you take way too long planning what to write instead of actually writing? A: absolutely not, it's the opposite actually Q34: What's your favourite part when editing? A: being amazed by the fact that i, indeed, wrote that Q35: What's your least favourite part when editing? A: seeing stupid errors that mess up my reading time Q36: How long have you been writing?
