Norway requests permission to undertake a limited military operation to secure Iceland. With my country now aligned with the United States, Iceland has become a strategically important location in the North Atlantic. Occupation of the island will protect the shipping routes of both the US and Norway and prevent any future Allied/Axis naval presence there. This would be a controlled operation: Iceland would have a light garrison, and its ports would be open to our naval cooperation but not exclusive control. The United States has agreed to block off Britain from reaching either me or Iceland so I can take Iceland with little resistance. In return, if our mission succeeds, I will give the United States the majority of Iceland.
