Mario's Party Quest is a Mario-themed one-way sidescroller game (once you move the screen right, it won't move back left again). Being based off of retro Mario, aspects of the game certainly reflect that. With jump physics reminiscing back to the early days of computer games and classic Goombas, coins, and stage design, this game is meant to bring you all the way back. Made for @Charvarius game jam, Mario has been invited to a party at Princess Peaches' castle and is making his way to the party, but something seems a little bit off... Scroll down for regular and boss fight instructions. The in-game tutorial can guide you through all basic gameplay, and I don't think I need to say it again here. This game is mean to be played on a computer, so while I did make mobile controls, they don't really work that well and I didn't spend a lot of time on them. For the boss fight (you can probably already guess against who), your opponent has two attacks. For the first attack he will flash red then shoot fireballs. For the second he will flash white then swipe all around him. During the entire length of the second attack, he will be invulnerable. In order to preserve balance of difficulty, Mario has infinite lives while B... I mean, your opponent, has 7. In order to take a life off him, you have to jump on his head while he is vulnerable. Then you will have several seconds to get out of the way and regroup before he starts attacking again. There is also the chance of you getting off an extra hit on your opponent at the cost of your life or your opponent deflecting your hit and taking one of your lives. Have fun!!!
