Keith's father was legendary on the street back during the late 1980s. He was known for tearing up the streets of Chicago late at night. His dream was to one day break the record for the Cannoball Run from New York to L.A. In the year 1993, he got such an opportunity. At this time, he was newly married and had a young son, who was six years old. He arrived in New York on July 5th, 1993, and expected to be finished within 30 hours. He had souped up the car and lightened some of the weight so he could add more fuel tank capacity. His car was decked out and ready. He set off from New York at 6:00 AM, and he expected to be there by 12:00 the next day. However, that wouldn't come to pass. On a Highway out in the middle of the American Midwest, during a heavy storm, fate crossed his path. As he was passing another vehicle, something stumbled into the road, and as he swerved to avoid it, crashing into a rock. Luckily, he had slowed down significantly due to a sharp curve in the road, so the vehicle wasn't completely totaled, but the damage was significant. If it wasn't for his spunk, the car would have been crushed, but despite being injured, the father towed it back home, where it would sit in a garage for over 20 years. After his father died due to catching a fatal illness, Keith decided to fulfill his father's dream. He rebuilt the Mustang from the bottom up. He installed newer parts, overhauled the components, and made it much more competitive.
