When I was around 4 years old, I had just moved to another state a couple of months ago. I was living in a new house, and since I was very young when I lived in my old state, I remembered nothing of what my old house looked like. My older brother brought over his PS2 given to him by our older cousin. It was in very good shape. He gave it to him along with other games like Need for Speed and Guitar Hero and Eye Toy. (That game was my childhood.) One day, for his birthday, my parents were getting him a PS3, which meant I got to keep the PS2 along with it's games. I'd watched my brother play video games, but I'd never played a video game before then, so it was very exciting. I remember looking through games, trying to decide on which to play first... I remember seeing a cover with a sleek silver background. In the middle what looked to be a gangster Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, some teenager with a checkered jacket, a red headed girl, and another boy with WAY too big shoes to fit him. In the middle of the cover in a fancy silver and blue font, it spelled "Kingdom Hearts 2". For some reason, this cover interested me. I don't know whether it was gangster Mickey Mouse or the Disney Characters, but something about it attracted me. I put the disc in, awaiting to see where my adventure would take me. The first thing that popped up when I put it in was a title screen. And in the title screen was that boy from the cover with the huge shoes. As the screen faded to show the boy, something magical appeared. A violin started playing notes that filled my room with color. ^ Your Lie in April Reference ;) And slowly, a piano started playing softly, so gentle, like you're caressing a baby's hand. This piece is known as Dearly Beloved. And oh boi it sure lived up to it's name. The boy was standing on a beach. With his cold feet in the blue water. He had a popsicle in his mouth As he stared, wondering his eyes towards his future. I didn't even want to click New Game. The song... The beautiful art... It was too beautiful to stop. I almost fell asleep, listening as the serenade drifted me into slumber. I finally clicked New Game... And there I went. A new adventure started for me. One that I would carry for so many years. As the years went by, I discovered other people who loved this game. But not in real life... But on the internet. I continued to play through the story of each game, putting questions through my mind as I went on. The story of this game changed me as a person. It taught me to give people chances. It taught me how the prettiest smiles of one's face can have such dark pasts that can never be mended. It taught me how to be kind, gentle towards others. I find it so puzzling that a video game can change me, but I can't lie. This game has really changed my life. ;^)
