(Not Oliver Twist) Iv'e been making miniature dolls out of clay, and so far I have made Addy and a new character named Lachie. 1. Addy, the first clay doll I made. 2. Lachie, my second doll. I knew more of what to do and not to do, the first doll was like "Yeah I'll just see if it comes out alright-" Making Oliver 3. He has a very similar face shape to Addy, this is the head before it was dry 4 & 5. The wire and pastels I use for armature and coloring. The doll is poseable. 6. The top half has been created. 7. The head is in the process of being colored in. To put a sort of seal on it for the pastels to not get dirty (they are oil so it doesn't dry) I use this glue called Mod Podge 8. Making the shoes, first time doing this at such a small scale. 9. Working on coat, it's made to not really come off. 10. Shirt, I soaked the fabric in tea to look old. 11. Working on refinements such as right shirt cuff and finishing shoes. 12 . The shoes have been completed, and I added his scarf. 13. The doll is almost done. 14. His newspaper, he wont be completed without it hehe. 15. He is done! I took some pictures of him in my yard. This doll was a bit more complicated to make because of his clothes and the shoes. I have this tiny pair of black doll boots that came in some set a few years ago and I would just switch it to any doll I was using because I only had one pair of shoes lol. I decided I did not want to do this for Oliver and made the new ones. He is not Oliver Twist btw that was a coincidence, the only similarity is the whole orphan thing. I hadn't read Oliver Twist when I made Oliver, though it is a really good book. (I read an abridged) such a good book that it inspired a bit of the story he is in.
My desk is so messy just ignore all the random things on it hehehhehehe Song is Little Dreamer by Domini Forster Oliver is not a newspaper boy. He just reads the newspaper, a very important plot point happens because of it.
