Ever heard of the afterimage effect? It happens when you stare at a colour and you see the colour's complementary. Red - Cyan (like Teal but brighter) Orange - Azure (Cyan + Blue) Yellow - Blue Lime - Purple Green - Magenta (Which is definitely NOT PINK!!!!!!!!!!!) Aquamarine (Green + Cyan) - Rose (Red + Magenta) Now, the afterimage effect is what makes you see Chimerical Colours. The 4 types of Chimerical Colours are: Stygian Colours: These are colours that are as dark as black while still being fully saturated, the colour might even appear to glow against the black! Self-luminous Colours: When seen against white these colours appear to be the light source, even when viewed on white paper! Hyperbolic Colours: These colours appear to be more saturated than a fully saturated colour! Hypocolours: They can be one colour while still being the opposite of that colour! Chimerical Colours are a type of Impossible Colours; here are the others: 1. Invisible Colours 2. Imaginary Colours 3. Forbidden Colours (So, these are just approximations of some chimerical colors)
