☆ Hey Fellow Scratcher! ☆ Ever wondered why time zones are synced to the Egyptian "Midnight Zero" (That is, the day starts at 12 Midnight)? The "Standard Midnight" is derived from the Ancient Egyptian timekeeping, with the opposite of the solar "peak" taken as the start of a calendar day, standardised by the Romans and spread across Europe. Here, I have attempted to change the standard. This project will show you exactly what time it is in your timezone based on the Solar Standard (roughly +6 Hours). • How to read: (Civil Time -> Suntime Standard) 6:00 AM 12:00 AM 9:00 AM 3:00 AM 12:00 PM 6:00 AM 3:00 PM 9:00 AM 6:00 PM 12:00 PM 9:00 PM 3:00 PM
☆ NOTE: The AM/PM notation has been simplified here; AM is exclusively for morning*, while PM is for night (as per sunrise* and sunset*) In Simple language: This project uses a specific equation to calculate what time it would be in your timezone (Device time) if the international standard were "Day starts at Sunrise*", or what many refer to as a "6-to-6" Time. (*Sunrise is defined as 6 AM and Sunset is defined as 6 PM, irrespective of real-life conditions)
