This is an example of Obfiscation. a technique used to make decompilation harder. this is done by doing the most difficult and unusual method of doing simple things. usally if something is inputted wrong, the unusual method will fail. mess around with some values and have fun. you will know when the method succeeds when the sprite says "Hello!"
