When she became an apprentice, her clan frequently started attacking another clan called MeadowClan. At first she thought it was MeadowClan who started it. But when she investigated it more, Nightpaw discovered that DawnClan was the attacker. Not wanted to get into it anymore, she escaped her clan and joined DawnClan's biggest enemy; DuskClan. She was mentored by Moorbark and moons later she earned her warrior name, Nightstripe.
