(possible hsr spoilers?? maybe?) so the alliance i had aria join in thgrp was themed around hsr, and i was told "if you look up tribios from hsr you can see how she was represented as the holder of the core flame of passage" so i looked it up and didn't get a lot about her character, but i DID see some gorgeous outfit design. since costuming tributes is apparently a big part of thg and i've been wanting to practice that since before i signed up for that alliance, i decided to adapt the dress of one of the tribios fragments (the reference image is named tribbie i believe, but the clothing seems to be pretty consistent between all tribioses?) the main intentional differences were emphasizing the plants and flower imagery in the design a little more because district eleven does agriculture and simplifying the overall design and color pallet to make it easier to draw. also a semi related ramble- aria is both the genus of a certain type of rose and a song/music thing. i think ari probably wouldn't know the plant until someone tells her and would have only heard of the music in passing. i picked aria because it was under "parents who like this also like this" for lyra and their parents canonically gave all their kids names that sounded like knockoff my little ponies. i guess with the last name moonfield (??? why??) you have no choice. (it really is an experience to try and re use a character you made a long time ago. lyra isn't THAT old, but i guess i made up her name in a rush or something. i've read a book on the symbolism of names in thg since then! i could have done better probably! i just ended up going with aria to remain consistent.)
