cruisers are heavily armed and armored capitol ships that engage the enemy, that would otherwise threaten the fleets carriers. carriers are the most potent of all humanities ships, with massive supercarriers forming the core of major expeditionary fleets, while smaller, tactical carriers assumed the same role among smaller engagement or defensive fleets. destroyers combine heavy firepower with relatively easy manufacturability, with tens of archer pods, point defense guns, and a dual MAC cannon packed into a heavily armored and structurally fortified hull, while still maintaining high mobility and maneuverability. aaand frigates are lightly armored, flying MAC guns, that are rarely produced as they are an ineffective ship design.
