A: I remember wanting to do band because it seemed cooler and more unique than all the “different sized violins” (I was joking, I’m an ex-cello player and gave up on it after a few months. I’d give it another try if I had the chance though.) Q2: What instrument(s) do you play? A: In band, alto sax. Outside of band, piano, and I dabble in the ukulele once in a while. I’m teaching myself guitar, and I’m getting a plastic trumpet soon! Q3: Craziest thing your band Director has done? A: My director is strict to the point he is mean. He yells at us all the time, and the most surprising time is when he told us to “stop fudging around”. Q4: Is your band class big, small, or average? A: I’d say average to big. Q5: Do you wish you could play another instrument than what you have already played? A: YES! I really hope to be able to play trumpet, oboe, and whatever instruments I can get my hands on in the future. Q6: What section has the least amount of students? A: Bassoon, duh. Q7: How many years have you played your instrument? A: Two years. Q8: What was your favorite piece of music you ever played? A: Probably Passion/Sanctuary from Kingdom Hearts II. Q9: Have you ever damaged your instrument? A: Nope! Q10: How long do you practice your instrument? A: I procrastinate on it, but usually 30-40 minutes. Q11: What do you hate about your instrument? A: I don’t like how the saxes aren’t in most symphonic bands :(. Also, transposing French horn music before my band teacher arranges it is hard. Q12: Are you beginning, intermediate, or advanced in your opinion? A: In my opinion, intermediate. Q13: What section is the most annoying? A: I’m not sure, but definitely not the flutes. Q14: Worst part about being a band kid? A: I like being a band kid, but having to lug around a heavy instrument made of brass is tiring sometimes. (Be quiet, you flutes!) Q15: How often do you do performances/concerts? A: Not that often, about 4 a year for my school. Q16: Have you ever messed up during a performance? A: Yes, I have, but they are minor and I usually do pretty good. Q17: Has your band director ever called you out for making a mistake? A: Bro he calls me out all the time, and two of my friends (also alto sax players) are chatting all the time and whenever I say ONE WORD he tells me to stop talking! >:0 Q18: What section always mess up on their part?
