Couples are a lot harder to create and write for than I used to think. You have to figure out how they play off of each other. How they talk, touch, listen, do stuff together. But you also have to make sure they're their own person OUTSIDE of the relationship. What they like, dislike, where they work, what their hobbies are, who else they associate with. It's just a LOT that you have to account for to make sure they're interesting and likeable. I've written a decent amount about relationships, and the characters that make up those connections, in the stories I posted here, and a lot of it wasn't...great. Hell, it wasn't even GOOD. But I've been working, trying to learn so I can get better. Read other stories, watched a lot of TV shows and movies. Figured out from other people what works and what doesn't, and formed my own opinions on writing from there. And after nearly nine years... I think I've got it where I want. And I'm pretty happy.
Welcome to the world, Suze! Art by me. Character by me.
