who am i applying for [] ghostkit A little about yourself/Rping experience [] i used to be in generations a long while ago (like. during heatherstar's era) however i left since my first character, and came back. Personality of this character simplified [] [+] kind, watchful, strong-willed [=] free-willed, bold, trusting [-] blunt, unempathetic, destructive descriptive [] ghostkit is a kind but independent cat, guided by watchful eyed that rarely misses what others push past. strong-willed by nature, her free spirit often pushes her toward bold choices that others might shy away from. she trusts easily- sometimes too easily, believing in the good intentions of those around her, even in the bloodthirsty urchinclan. ghostkit’s honesty can become bluntness, their clarity of judgment becoming a lack of empathy when emotions cover a situation. when frustrated or cornered, that strong will and bold personallity can turn into something more destructive, sometimes with actions taken too quickly, sometimes with words spoken too sharply. despite their destructive nature, ghostkit has a true desire to be a hero, always striving to do something right. yet even through their kindness…can they truly stray from the core values of urchinclan, in the center of all this hate? Gender? {May be in the future} [] she/her, becomes nonbinary later on. Future sexuality? [] ace, before turning into a demiromantic. Any disabilities or disorders? + research [] bobtail, intersex, and chimaera in the n+c art by me :D
bobtail research a bobtail is a genetic mutation in cats that reduces the size of a cat's tail. this mutation is found in certain breeds like the japanese bobtail, american Bobtail and pixie bobs. most sources note that American Bobtails commonly experience hip and back problems. tenderness and soreness in those areas are fairly normal for the breed, making them more susceptible to spinal or nerve diseases. dental issues can also affect American Bobtails, sometimes causing gumline or chewing pain. In some cases, they may develop hip dysplasia or experience recurring aches and pains that impact their daily lives. For ghostkit, this could mean periods of discomfort or stiffness, and it may lead to frequent visits to the medicine den, especially as she grows older. she will also have difficulties in balance , and hunting that involves her tail (like running after birds) will be harder than others to do. Though with time, patience, and a good mentor she will be able to hunt effectively. some other abilities she will struggle with are tree climbing, bouldering, running, and fighting. These skills will take more determination to learn, which she no doubt will conquer. intersex research Intersex is a naturally occurring variation in sex characteristics where a person is born with reproductive or sexual anatomy that doesn’t fit typical definitions of male or female. According to the Cleveland Clinic, intersex traits can involve a range of differences that may not match conventional expectations for boys or girls. For example, someone might have external genitalia resembling one gender and internal reproductive organs more typical of another. this will affect ghost by giving her a deeper voice due to extra hormones and a tall and lanky body. she will also be unable to reproduce biologically. with extra hormones, she will grow tall rather fast, not giving herself time to get comfortable in her body, causing more muscle aches and growing pains, which will make play and kit games sometimes painful. In domestic cats, this is most commonly recognized by their striking two-toned coats, characterized by sharply divided colors, often a blend of cream or brown with a much darker shade, such as black or deep blue. Heterochromia, or the presence of two differently colored eyes, is another physical trait sometimes associated with feline chimeras. However, the external expression of chimerism varies, and not all chimeric cats will display obvious asymmetry in their facial features or eye color. chimerism forms because of the fusion of two embryos at a very early stage of pregnancy, resulting in a single organism composed of cells from both embryos. This fusion leads to the simultaneous presence of two sets of DNA within one body, which can manifest in unique coat patterns and, in rare cases, physiological differences. chimeric animals may face health challenges, such as compromised immune function or infertility, due to the genetic differences between their cell lines. Klinefelter syndrome, a disorder caused by and extra x chromosome, has been documented in some chimeric male cats, resulting in clinical symptoms like sterility, bone marrow disorders, or reduced lifespan. links: PubMed (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32452546/), Genetic Literacy Project (https://geneticliteracyproject.org/2017/12/01/chimeras-genetics-behind-amazing-looking-two-faced-cat/), and Purina UK (https://www.purina.co.uk/find-a-pet/articles/cat-types/breed-guides/chimera-cats).
