Are you new to roleplaying with Warriors related roleplays or a roleplays in general? Well, here's a guide AND some tips on how to start! This can also be a refresher for those coming back to roleplays! Please let me know if I've missed anything, RP or WCRP related! ▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎ First thing! Make sure you have proper grammar, spelling and punctuation. It's okay if you don't know how to spell a really /long/ word, like Tyrannosaurus or something, but like decent spelling. UNLESS YOU'RE LIKE ME AND YOU TALK IN ALL LOWERCASE LOL- BUT!! please, please, please... DON'T post this: hi I'm juniperpaw and I'm tired Please make sure when your character is speaking, put " " (quotation marks) OR some sort of symbol to show that they are speaking. I used to use / as to show when my OC was speaking. Please ask if you need help! eg. {} / are you alright? / henry asked, pushing his hand out to try and grasp camelia's and pull her up. {} (shown in this example, I don't capitalize the names and after the periods. you would also do that afte 2! Make sure you know RP terms! RP: (a) roleplay! WCRP: Warrior Cats Roleplay. The main title. Some roleplays shorten it to the first two or three letters into that acronym + RP (The Four Clans RP = TFCRP! The Silver Shores: TSS:) [NOTE: TSS doesn't have RP at the end because it's well established that's its a roleplay; I think?] ORP: Open role play. Anyone can join! usually an ORP is between two people CRP: Closed roleplay. Between two or more people, it's not for anyone to join!! SRP: Self roleplay. It's for that one person, like testing their writing skills. EORP/ERP(?): end of roleplay OR end roleplay? Some people might ask "ERP?" in OOC (Out of character, more on that later!) And you can either end the RP there or continue. NT: this means "new thread." In studios (and projects if you rp on projects), there is a maximum amount of replies/boxes you can have. It'll say something along the lines of "this thread has run out, start a new one" once you run out. Usually, an NT would look like this: "NT w/ or with @.[name]" {patchedwing sighed. "that's not what I meant, thornedpaw..."}" on projects there isnt a thread limit (i think) but it'll stop to a point where when you click to get directed to the message it wont scroll all the way down, YOU have to scroll all the way down to see the (full) message. IC/OOC: IC is in character, so the character you are role-playing. OOC is /out/ of character, so if you need to say something while role-playing, you would use OOC e.g: [OOC, is it alright if we make a plot twist?] {Patchedwing smiled, the ends of his whiskers flicking as he showed the slightest hint of emotion towards the she-cat.} this also applies to OORP and IRP (out of roleplay and in roleplay.) same meaning as OOC and IC but in the context of the roleplay. e.g "yo oorp wanna make a family studio or smth for the group? but like irp its like a gathering so they canonically meet?" OC(s): [not apart but I thought you lot should know] Original Character(s) There is also ghost comments, where you get the message from the other roleplayer, but when you press to see the message, it doesn't show up! Let the other person know and ask them to repost their comment. This can also happen to the other person roleplaying with you! WCRP TERMS (ignore these terms if you aren't in this type of roleplay and are in a human like one!!) She-cat: for WCRPs, this means a female cat. Tom: male cat. Kit: like a kitten, baby cat. ALWAYS HAS THE SUFFIX KIT/THE NAME ENDS IN KIT Apprentice: a young cat learning the ways of a warrior. (Medicine) Apprentice: learning the way of a medicine cat. NAME ALWAYS ENDS IN PAW. Warrior(s): hunters and warriors, the main line of attack and defence in a clan. Medicine cat: the cats with loads of knowledge on how heal and fix wounds. they are also the only ones able to speak to starclan with a moon related area e.g (moon) stone, pool, cave, etc. Deputy: the next in line to the leader, the confidant to the leader (i forgot.) you can only be deputy after as a warrior you have trained at least one apprentice. Leader: has 9 lives!!! Leads the Clan. receives nine lives at the moon(place) by Starclan, and can only be leader after being a deputy. NAME ALWAYS ENDS IN STAR. Elder(s): old and retired warriors or queens, unless warriors with disabilities too early e.g a young warrior that has injured paws/legs Queens: nursing mothers or those who can give birth. All these ranks above make a Clan! They MUST follow the warrior code. (in comments, but sometimes...) Clans: groups of cats. ususally 3 or 4 in a RP. No minimum or maximum.... yikes! StarClan is the cats' religion in the books. its said that when one cat dies, they become a new star in Silverpelt (the night sky!) Starclan are also usually the only ones that can send prophecies. Prey: food...? d3 animals they eat..? Fresh-kill pile. The pile of prey they eat. Crowfood: rotten food.
cont cause it got too long T^T Prey: food...? d3@d animals they eat..? Fresh-kill pile. The pile of prey they eat. Crowfood: rotten food. New-leaf: spring Leaf-bare: winter Leaf-fall: fall/autumn Greenleaf: summer! Moon(s): month(s)! one moon = one month. half moon is 2 weeks or half of that month and yadada! A Gathering is when all (usually four) clans meet up together at a meeting place. In the books, it was the Fourtrees! most RPs dont have a gathering or gathering place. a gathering happens every full moon. there's also every half-moon, medicine cats meet together to discuss herbs and also communicate with StarClan. Monster: is a car. its called a monster because its MUCH more larger than the cats and rumbles like one. Thunderpath: a road! ~~ credits: @-sundrown @cloud-catcherr / @alaska_lily77 check out a WARRIORS RP form from my lovely friend lily/@alaska_lily77 https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1267139732 ~~ yes, this is for warriors but i though it would work for those in human/lab RPs too  --- RP starters, like I mentioned before. In one my projects, I have a OC in a WCRP, so I used RP starters. You don't have to use these, no worries! It's just if you want to look cooler. You can always add more to these starters if you want! -- [ORP CRP SRP NT w/@.] \/ name \/ rank \/ pronouns \/ area , weather , mood \/ extra \/ text/typing... {ORP CRP SRP NT w/@.} || name || rank || pronouns || area , weather , mood || extra || text/typing...
