I like watching true crime sometimes, it gives lots of insight into this country and what officers have to go through. I discovered a video, and I shall provide the context to this quote. Robert Mackle was a rich, land-owning Florida man. One night, his daughter was kidnapped; he had deep connections with the higher-ups at the FBI and they put their best agents to it, yet, with money and connections, they were helpless. His only hope of getting his daughter back was to follow the instructions of the kidnappers. They told him to come dressed in all white to a isolated destination to drop off like 100k dollars or so, if anything was slightly off, they would shoot him with a sniper. The FBI offered to have a body-double go in his stead, but this courageous man said this quote to them. He was fully willing to risk his life for his daughter. Money, influence, his prestige, etc, did not matter, only a young girl. Listening to this, the girl was buried alive underground and only had a week to live; I was horrified because that's like a major fear of mine. Usually, rich powerful men feel they are too important to die and would support the idea of sending a body-double. He cared more about his family than anything else, even his own life, without second thought. This, this is a man. A true father.
