Credit to @GrooverPopn (microgame idea), @TheStarSpirit (most additional ideas and art), @Burgnew_On_A_Laptop (other ideas), SEGA (Puyo Puyo Tetris sounds and characters), @ChachorroLouco234 (stage jingles), and @TheScarfedStickman (idea of TV stage). It's pretty interesting whenever coordinating ideas for a single microgame with not just one other person, but multiple. On one hand, you're certainly gonna have a lotta ideas. On the other, it can be a bit hard to balance things out to get something everyone is happy with. The last time I did level variants was Burger Barge. They can be hard to balance too, but they can be a bit of a treat. So, hope you enjoy this sizable portion of 'em right here! Oh yeah, with the release of this microgame, I probably won't start back up on microgames until ThinkWare is done, so stay tuned! Speaking of which, all that's left of it is the stages for the Standard and Gallery modes, plus the Duel mode in general. Not to mention microgame 32. What do I mean by that? Well, bet you didn't notice how the projects in the studios got rearranged. Yeah, there are only 31 microgames and the boss in ThinkWare right now... ...and no, a friend of mine already owns the spot. So don't go thinking with shifting your way in. --- [SPOILERS AHEAD] --- [SPOILERS AHEAD] --- [SPOILERS AHEAD] --- [SPOILERS AHEAD] --- [SPOILERS AHEAD] --- [SPOILERS AHEAD] --- [SPOILERS AHEAD] Anyway, because Groover did make a test project of the gameplay, here's a list of the differences between dis & dat: - Support for speed up to 2.5. - More detailed garden and spaceship backgrounds. - Different artstyle from Puyo Puyo Tetris. - Space can no longer be held down, and only pressed to rain in bursts. - Rain is no longer made of individual drops, but a rush akin to a waterfall. - Modified difficulty levels, with level variants that can integrate wind. - Level 1: There is one stationary pot with no wind. - Level 2. There are either two stationary pots with no wind, one stationary pot with wind, or Tee carrying one flower pot. - Level 3: There are either two stationary pots with wind, Jay and Elle carrying two flower pots in total, or one large flower pot with wind. - Added various Puyo Puyo Tetris sound effects and O voice clips. - Custom music at 120 BPM. - Added win outcomes to each level. - All pots and pot variants stored in one sprite. [BEGIN DEVELOPER NOTE] = ASSETS = Besides the commands and stuff, this microgame has 34 costumes and 2 backdrops. = INTEGRATION = To integrate this into a full project, the following must be done: - IMPORTANT: Update the microgame count. - Import these as normal: the sprite, the backdrops, the music, the broadcast script (into the chain of if-loops), and the practice menu costumes. - Add the microgame ID to the list of keyboard microgames. - If applicable, add it to one of the speed lists. - Import the command and sound. - Import the 1 extra [OOOOO] script in Stage. The timer. It's local. That's all. - If applicable, update the credits. [FINISH DEVELOPER NOTE] Additional cameo credits: (Stikwig), (Steve Stelar), (pear), (Fern), (Eggplant)
