Pio is Herring (jade_shi-ba)and Flowering-Valerie's daughter Luka is owned by Crypton Neru is a fanloid of Hatsune Miku Pio's owner is owned by Herring as well but she doesn't have a canon design yet Artist yap: I like the idea of Neru and Pio being rivals so I put a little bit of a shonen rival spin on it because I dearly love that trope. I see Pio as a spunky newcomer aiming for the top spot and selecting the most famous fanloid to be her rival. Neru is more a unwilling professional who pretends to be indifferent to her fame and fortune for the sake of the bit, and secretly envies Pio's origins. Many many headcanon. Regarding Pio's owner: I kinda assumed she was actively performing when she was looking after Pio, so she would be active anywhere between the early 2000s to the late 2010s (assuming Pio's age is counting to present day) but alternately she was an earlier generation of idol and got pio when she was older (according to Wikipedia Japanese idols took off in the 1970s putting her probably in her 80s in present day?). I don't actually know much about idol history so I kinda skimmed through the Wikipedia page. Anyway, I think Luka saw her on television when she was younger (probably when she was eleven or twelve?) I've kinda implied that she was a 'shy type' but that's mostly because I was listening to Snow Halation while drawing her. I've tried to make her look similar to Pio, but with a few differences. Her face is a little rounder and her shoulders are narrower than Pio's, because Pio works out a lot and has large arms. Her hair is also shorter because I wanted to emphasis silhouette and the low ponytail look that Pio didn't seem to fit her. I thought if I left her hair down, it would take away from the spikes on the side, so I put it into her space buns. They're supposed to mirror Pio's ears. They have the same bangs, but Pio's owner has more rounded edges. She's got a cute skirt on, but you can't see it. Momo is wearing Pio's hat because she went before Pio and wanted to do an impression of Pio. It's Luka's turn next I'm not really happy with the speech bubbles, but I don't think it's too unclear? UPDATE: in the final remnants of 2025, Herring posted on the Official Akane Pio Studio that Pio's owner now has a canon design. I will be drawing her when it is released, mark my words :3
