Hey guys! So as you might know, a lot of my fanfics come from dreams I have. I had a dream that Marinette was absent fsr for like a few months, then returned back to school, but turned into a mouse at some point. It's really foggy now, but I can remember some of the better scenes and I actually really enjoyed the dream. It was like watching a custom-made miraculous episode all night lololol. Soooo introduction: I am copying anything I remember into here so pls DONT BLAME ME FOR MY DREAMSSS and the parts I don't remember I'll fill the gap. The introduction is based off of what I saw in my dream so ik it doesn't make sense. Season 6 timeline except no monarch drama and stuff. Lila was never exposed and she's still in school. I got some clues in my dream that Marinette never actually tried to tell the others she was a liar even though she knew about it. Possible post-reveal I think. Yea probably there was a post reveal so I will put that in here. Enjoy!!! "Please come back to school Mari..." Chat begged her. Marinette sighed. "I-I don't know, minou, it's... been so long... everything will be so... different." Chat and Mari were standing on the balcony. They had revealed when Mari's dad had died. Ladybug was devastated at the same time as Marinette. It wasn't hard to piece together. Chat felt it wasn't fair to know her identity without her knowing his, and he revealed. They were more in love than before, but Mari had stopped going to school on the excuse that she was helping her mother at the bakery. Once, Chat was curious about this, and decided to spy on her. To his surprise, he found Marinette ACTUALLY helping in the bakery. He supposed that as she used to bake with her father, baking slightly helped heal the hole in her heart where her father had been. Mari held unshed tears in her eyes. "He used to see me off every day at school. He-He would give me a croissant for the road, freshly baked, and then kiss me on my forehead and tell me he loved me. I can't go to school without it... It was our ritual and going to school would feel so... empty..." she whispered, now crying softly. Chat pulled her into a hug. "Shh, it's okay... But if you stay here for much longer, you'll have to repeat the grade. I don't want you to be in a lower grade than me, then we can't be in the same class! Please go, I promise I'll help you..." he pleaded, stroking her hair gently. She looked up at him with her bluebell eyes, sparkling with tears. "You promise?" She asked him in a voice so small he could barely hear it. He leaned towards her face. "I do." And then they kissed. Sorry I just had to pause the story. "I do" sounds too familiar. I feel like they will say that again sometime soon *smirk emoji* XD Lolololol continuing~ The next day, Mari got out of bed. She slowly dragged on her clothes, did her morning ritual, and stepped downstairs with an emotionless expression. She came down to see Adrien in the kitchen. "A-Adrien, what are you doing?" She asked him. Adrien jumped, previously unaware of her presence. "Morning, Bugaboo!" He greeted cheerfully. I made you something! I know I'm not that good a cook, but..." He gave her a freshly baked croissant. He kissed her on the forehead. "Hope you enjoy it, Bug!" Marinette looked at the croissant, then touched her forehead. She sniffed and started crying. Adrien panicked. "Wait, no, don't cry, Mari! I'm sorry, I-I didn't mean to upset you! I just thought since you used to like your dad doing it, I should do it to make you feel better, but it was insensitive and-" She cut him off with a tight hug. "I love you. iloveyouiloveyouiloveyou." She whispered, tears still rolling down her cheeks and onto his shirt. Adrien had no way of knowing whether if she was talking to him or her dad. Probably both. But he took the hug anyway. "You're welcome, M'lady! Now let's go to school." Marinette nodded, as Adrien wiped the tears off her face. Marinette looked at her croissant. She paused for a moment, then took a bite out of it. Adrien beamed, and they started their trek to school hand-in-hand. The walk had been short and mostly silent. Marinette was looking around her on the familiar walk she hadn't gone on in months. Adrien tried to initiate conversation at first, but Marinette only gave vague one word answers, and he got the hint that she wanted to be left alone. Marinette's friends had never visited her. She didn't want them to. They didn't know about her dad, but they never asked her why she was absent. She saw as they slowly replaced her with Lila, but Lila decided not to turn them against her. Yet. Still, they were so wrapped up in the bunch of fantasy that pooled out of Lila's mouth that they forgot to check up on their devastated friend. They could hardly count as friends to Marinette anymore. She helped them. She advised them. She did them so many favors, making their dreams come true. But they never came through in her times of need. She was done with them. Scroll to credits!!
They arrived at the school. Once outside the classroom, Marinette took a deep breath. She then took the hand that wasn't linked with Adrien's, and she opened the door. "Hey, Lil-" Alya turned to greet her sausage haired friend, then saw Marinette instead. And holding hands with... ADRIEN?! The rest of the class had heard the door open too, and turned to see the increasingly nervous Marinette, being comforted by Adrien. He whispered something in her ear, presumably asking if she wanted to leave, but she smiled slightly and shook her head. She turned back to her classmates, smile fading. Alya snapped out of her daze then ran up to her friend, hugging her. The hug was not returned, but Alya didn't even notice. "Bestieee, I missed you soooo mu-" "Don't." The word was frosty cold. The whole class shivered as Alya let go of Marinette, in shock. "What??" Alya asked, bemused. Marinette repeated her self even more coldly. "Don't hug me. I only have one true friend here and that is NOT you." Alya was shocked. "What do you mean?? We-We're best friends!" Marinette looked at her, looking so cold, yet a fire burning in her eyes. "What kind of a so called 'fRiEnD' doesn't even check up on them after being missing from class for 3 months?!" She yelled. Alya stumbled back. "B-But Lila said that you didn't want to be distur-" Marinette screeched, shocking the class. Adrien had no reaction except squeezing her hand in comfort. She needed it. "Lila this, Lila that! Why can't you just check your sources, Cesaire?! Why do you take her word for everything, overloading your blog with fake news and replacing your best friend, without even checking to see if her tall tales are true! Bro is built like a human-Pinocchio with three sausages for hair! And if her nose really did grow when she lied, her nose would be longer than the Eiffel Tower!!!" The class gasped. Adrien laughed hard, and even Chloe cackled. "BAHAHA!! Lila better put some ice on that burn Dupain-Cheng just gave her! Whew! Who knew that the most utterly ridiculous person of all actually had a backbone." She wiped tears from her eyes. Marinette smirked. "You want some too, Bourgieous? Your hair looks like the back of a horses butt, and the only thing 'uTtErLy RiDiCuLoUs' around here is how you cosplay Ladybug when she can't even stand you! I mean, come on! How would you feel if I put on a blonde wig, a cheap knock-off of your clothes, and a whole store's worth of make-up, and started prancing around saying "rIdIcUlOuS! uTtErLy RiDiCuLoUs!" and "oHhH aDrIkInS!!" Huh!?" Marinette wiped the floor with Chloe. Chloe turned beet red, and opened her mouth to say something, then closed it. "Well?" Marinette demanded. "Say something!" Chloe growled. "You are NOTHING, Dupain-Cheng!" Marinette smirked. "I knew you'd listen when I told you to say something. Because good girls do what they're told." The whole class's jaws dropped to the floor in unison as Marinette flipped her hair, then sat down in Nino's place, not bothering to ask for permission. Adrien sat down next to her and whispered, "That's my girlfriend." Marinette beamed, a slight smirk still evident on her face. The new Marinette was here, and she had NO mercy. Okayyyy I thought this would be a one shot but it was too much fun to write and Mari hasn't even turned into a mouse yet. I kinda just deviated this whole thing from the dream, but it's going back on track during the next part. Byeee!! Later edit: Here's part 2! https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1255875765
