"we made every sound" | a poetry piece ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ .* ❉ (scroll up + down, fullscreen recommended!) narratives usually find a way to slip into my writing, whether it be prose or poetry, and this piece was no different. i'm now realising that there was an underlying theme for a lot of my writing this november, and that is the concept of the human body as "pieces". in this poem, the character's individual bones are described, all of which are broken into pieces and relate to a wider extended metaphor. it's interesting to consider the subconscious aspect of writing, too. i didn't want to entirely place this under the category of 'ballad' because i believe they usually follow a specific stanza alignment and rhyme scheme - which my poetry usually break lol. but it feels very much like a story to me. this was, again, written for swc and, again, extremely fun to write. poetry-esque writing is not my preferred medium but this follows a tale i really enjoyed spinning. i hope you like it! <3 ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ .* ❉ ✎ ρσєм: me - 289 words ▢ вαcкgяσυη∂s: the site where you pin your interests + edited on Canva ◎ тɪмε: probably an hour, a day and night on editing ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ .* ❉ #wemadeeverysound #poem #ballad #poetrypiece #bones #original #writing #writingpiece
