The familiar sounds of holiday bells can be heard in the distance as you pad towards the parade entrance, lined up with other tributes in district order accordingly. As you stand in wait, a brisk gust of wind catches your outfit, revealing the finest details that your stylists had spent hours perfecting. Soon, the line begins to move, and you find yourself face-to-face with two gorgeous horses, donned with bell harnesses and wreaths. They stand before a large, similarly decorated sleigh, which an assistant soon helps you step into. Looking around, garlands and cheerful lights line your velvet seat- how festive! However, before you have time to admire the decorations, the horses begin to pull the sleigh towards the entrance gracefully, the cheers of the Capitol growing louder by the moment. As you enter the plaza, these cheers greet you, and the warmly lit lampposts and wreaths that line the streets reveal snowflakes drifting down from the sky. -- For those new to THGRP, the Parade is an optional event that can boost your sponsor score (probability to get a arena gift) in the arena. Sponsors, in THGRP, are decided based on your scores from these training events. Your scores will be averaged out, and if above a certain threshold, can increase your chance of winning a sponsor (it is in a raffle-system). Write a short closed roleplay excerpt based on the prompt/description provided above to be entered. Parades are your tribute's debut into society, their first public appearance. You will be graded on a hidden rubric out of 5, based on how much the Capitol enjoyed your tribute's performance. Meaning, the Parade CRP response is not graded based on the quality of writing, but rather, your tribute's interactions with the environment and their performance. Parades will be due by 12/22 at the end of the day. You will likely receive a grade in the following week. Extensions are not offered; this is a hard deadline to ensure the round goes by smoothly without mods having to backtrack and possibly extend the training time. Do not forget: you must remix this project, with your tribute's name first in the title, and post your entry to be considered; otherwise, your entry will not be read or graded. Please also place your tribute's name and District above your parade entry to help us grade!
