Once upon a time, there was a beautiful she-cat who fell in love with a strong tom. Together, they fought over their shared land, and discovered that if they fought as one, they were unstoppable. Conquering more land, they became dual Alphas of a new tribe of cats. The new leaders, who were friends, quickly became even more and had four kits. But what Falen, the father, didn't see, was that his wife, Siv, had the power to bestow something to anyone. It would be her later mistake to not tell her husband. The kits were: The oldest yet smallest, was named Air after her messy white coat. The second, Fire, was named because of his russet-orange pelt. The third, Water, was named after his eyes like two deep pools. And finally, the fourth was named Earth, because of her sturdy build. The four of them became the age of apprentices, and they started training to become fighters. Siv was worried that she had passed down her power, and she had, except in a different way. Each of the kits got one elemental power. Air had the power to fly, and to manipulate air around her. Water could control how rivers flowed, and could swim excellently. Fire could not only move flames, but he also could control lightning. Finally, Earth, who grew to be the most sturdily built, had the power to move rock, dirt, lava, metal, sand, crystal, coal and any other mineral. The other three became jealous of her range of power, and the children of Siv and Falen split in three ways: Earth and Fire on their own, while Water and Air survived together. They became adults, and made four Clans. Air and Water’s Clans lived together in the clouds, while Fire’s lived between the burning volcanoes. Earth’s lived in a tightly packed forest. In Earth’s new Clan, she appointed a deputy, or second in command. She chose a budding young warrior named Birchflight. Earth renamed herself as Earthstar after the stars that she thought guided her. Birchflight was an animus- the last one of an ancient race of cat who could enchant any object, for the price of some of their soul. The first item ever enchanted by her was a necklace that had the magic of shadow, bestowing dark magic into the bearer. Unknowingly, she also added a curse- a curse to warp the mind of the wearer and turn them homicidal. Sensing the magic, Birchflight threw the magic amulet deep into the mines, supposedly disposing of it forever. The second was an onyx amulet, as black as night, bestowing the magic of darkness and, if you shake the wearer's paw after making a deal, it would be sealed for eternity. After tampering with animus and shadow magic for a few months, Birchflight became resentful that she was not leader yet. The amulet that she wore spoke to her, compelling her to do more magic, which ended her up with less and less sanity. Driven by the need to lead, she attacked Earthstar. She would of succeeded if not for her Earth magic. She was the first of many warriors to be banished to an unknown land, later to be known as the Corrupted Forest of Souls. Birchflight was also the only cat to be named with the prefix birch, because it is forbidden now. About a year later, Earthstar left the realm of the living and created a safe haven for souls of good cats. She named it as her own Tribe. Just as long the memories of the spirits are not forgotten, they would stay there and can visit the living every full moon. Falen was part of the tribe but Siv, returning to her dark roots, was not. White had become resentful of the success of Earthstar, and became rival clans with hers. She had renamed herself as Wind. Blue, who lived with Wind, followed her every move, becoming a silent shadow. FireClan was brave and noble, helping EarthClan out from time to time. However the majority died out, leaving a small group of three- Lightningpelt, a kind tom, Swiftpaw, a cat who was very talented at running, and Techstrike, an odd she-cat who couldn't control fire but instead knew how the twoleg lights worked and could manipulate them as well as could control lightning strikes. Seeing the turmoil and helplessness from above, Siv decided to give each of the Clans one last special gift. To WhiteClan, she gave focus for finishing a task at paw, but their magic being powered by thrill of speed, To BlueClan; friendship to be together, but their magic being fueled by peace of mind, To the newfound TechClan, she gave independence, so they could thrive on their own, but their power being fed by joy, And finally, to EarthClan, she gave the power of unity, to prevent the Clan from splitting apart, and their magic being powered by the sense of stability. Rumor has that Air is still alive but is cursed, her bloodline can only use magic powered by blood and not by air... Everything else, however, is left in time...
