The New American Model is a political philosophy founded upon Alloy James's Little White Book, which highlighted his ideals and personal belief system. The Little White Book was a gamechanging ideology, and several presidents strived to emulate the ideals of the book, and the Little White Book is still cited among political, religious, and miscellaneous groups. Here is an abridged version:
Item I - National Pride: "National pride is to countries what self-respect is to individuals: a necessary condition for self-improvement." -Richard Rorty National pride is essential for the stability of the Interstellar Dominion. It allows the people to share common ground, providing a feeling of peace even when the nation itself is divided. In America, it is called "American Exceptionalism", based on the belief that the American people are supposed to uphold righteousness and decency, fostering growth and innovation. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Item II - The Panem Doctrine “Give them bread and circuses and they will never revolt.” -Juvenal There are two political parties in the United States of America: the Democrats and the Republicans. However, the elections that occur are not like that of the primitive days of the twenty-first century, with men with guns battling on the streets, needlessly spouting their manifestos into the eyes and ears of every citizen of the nation. Now, the process is largely controlled. Limited, so that the people will not worry about their lives changing with every vote they cast. Limited, so that they can worry about other things, not radicalized or overly patriotic. This is stirred by what former president Lennon Karet referred to as the "Panem Doctrine", stating that the people will not actively participate in political matters if they are kept satisfied and are made merry. To the common American, voting is a civic duty, but not a large one. They go to the Voting Centers and vote, based on the candidate they trust to represent the country. There is no talk about which party is better, they are merely two versions of the same entity. The entity of the American government. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Principle III - The God of America “It is not an accident that freedom of religion is one of the central freedoms in our Bill of Rights. It is the first freedom of the human soul, the right to speak the words that God places in our mouths.” -George W. Bush From the year of 1791, all those who rest under the New Colossus are able to pursue their own practices in regards to their religious identity. However, the Establishment Clause prevented the United States from officially adopting any religion, barring the United States from federally practicing pious activities for four centuries. All of that changed, however, when nuclear missiles set the world ablaze in 2089. By then, people did not care for a centuries-old meaningless tradition, as it no longer fit the time period. From 2089 to 2091, there was no law, Anarchy ruled the streets. When the people reclaimed the Earth, they brought with them stories, which would morph into legends still told to this day. One such legend was specially told by the Asiatic and Latinx immigrants who traveled north in search for refuge. They stated that there was a "New Eden", east of the Pacific, where the flowers bloomed and civilization was preserved. This brought a hope of a better tomorrow in the minds of millions, and it stayed within them as they helped reclaim the burnt surface of Terra. This story is just one among many that have been acclaimed among generations, and have been categorized in K. J. Samol's Book of American Myth. Though the United States still refuses to adopt a religion, religion chose to adopt the United States as a fundamental figure, with many regarding to it as the "savior of mankind". not done yet.
