DISCLAIMER: [This is an OPINIONATED rant. If you disagree with me, I'm only open to talking about it in a friendly way. Then again, you could also just ignore this. I won’t be mentioning any users in this project, but if you recognize who I talk about, please don’t call out who they are.] Extra: Finals are killing me ugh as of right now I have my GEO ONE TOMORROW and I HATE GEO ————————————————————— I have unfortunately been seeing the downfalls of a few creators on Scratch lately, and a few people who don’t quite understand why they get the attention they do. All I have to say is, why would you do something you KNOW is wrong, hateful, or anything else of the sorts, and NOT expect some kind of negative reaction? I think to start, i’d like to talk about a creator on Scratch i’ve heard a LOT about recently who is currently pitying herself for loosing followers (I am unsure how many because I miscalculated how many she had before). Context is that she made fun of someone else’s health simply because they were on the person’s blacklist (as far as I know), made like 3-4 horrible apology projects where they just made themselves look horrible to make people feel bad, and then expected an apology from the PERSON SHE INSULTED??? I was really shocked watching this drama play out because there is NO WAY she would make fun of a serious situation and then expect others to take the blame for her actions? (She said the person she insulted did it back to her but ya know. The person also did apologize but I really think they didn’t need to.) Not to mention, this creator also apparently has stolen designs, harassed other people, and are HEAVY HEAVY HEAVY with guilt tripping. I do have two friends that are unfortunately friends with this person. All I really have to say about them is.. why would you ever expect people to still fully like you after the news about what you did got out? It’s like breaking the law and getting upset when you get criminal charges. It’s guilt-tripping behavior to pity yourself when you KNOW you did something wrong. Not to mention, this creator i’m talking about also deleted her apologies?? Did they even mean anything then? I’m still wondering if they are trying to cover up for what they did or something. Act like they never did it. I’ve also had instances where people have made ignorant and uneducated claims towards something without even properly debating the responses, and then got mad at me when they found out I didn’t want to interact with them because of it? (I am talking about someone specific) I recently stopped interacting with them, and if they do comment on this project, I will not be responding. They made a false claim about a communtiy TO THE COMMUNITY and then proceeded to ignorantly defend their opinions by saying something along the lines of “well, I’m ____ myself and this offends me.” And “You are so *insert negative thing*” When the thing they were talking about doesn’t even involve them. It became very clear they seemed to just want to spark a reaction, because (this is an example: why would you comment on a video about strawberries: “I don’t like strawberries >:(“ instead of scrolling away from it?) and I also have screenshots of them literally lying about bullying someone for their mental problems and then immediately realizing they were caught lol It kinda feels like.. “how do I make this about me?” And “let me pull the victim card and say your just insulting me because i’m ______”
Life lesson: don’t be a freaking ignorant, rude idiot. If you’re wrong, admit it. It’s 10x better than pretending you aren’t. And if you decide to apologize, don’t pity yourself through the whole apology. It will never be genuine that way. Don’t force someone to accept it either. @ThatSkyKid_Vi
