… but I guess I’ll see ya </3 it’s taken me forever to start this project, every time I open it up I’m hit with a blank mind, but here I am, time to do it for real hey there pretty person ✨ well here I finally am. I have considered leaving so many times before, November 2024, march 2025, summer of 2025, November 2025, Feb 2026 and countless other times. I even tried to leave once, but got pulled back, but this time it’s for real this is a bittersweet project. As much as I know I should do this, and there are days where all I want to do is leave, I know I’m still gonna struggle a little. It’s hard to let go of something that was so important to me at one point. Scratch was my life in early 2024. I met my best friends on here that summer. But that’s truly what growing up is, when something that ment so much to you fades into the background of your mind. the blunt reason for why I’m leaving is I’ve just grown out of scratch </3 I joined on a random snow day in 2023 when I was bored and didn’t have school. My sisters told me about a program where you can play and make games, and, while I thought i was already way too old for it, I decided to check it out. From that day I’ve found the Swiftie community, gained an actual audience on @auqustt- , and made countless friends that I truly think I’ll remember forever. But I’m now a soon to be junior in high school, on the tip of the recommended age range for here, and I’m just losing my love for this place. Responding to messages has become a chore, making sets/banners feels stupid, and there’s nothing on here anymore that’s really willing me to stay. I don't have motivation to do anything on here anymore, and yet I still find myself on when I should be doing other things and it frustrates me because I know I shouldn't be doing that. another reason is I just really want to enjoy my IRL life right now. I've been drowning in nostalgia lately, and I feel like I'm wasting my teenage years on this website. Realistically, I only have two more birthdays, two more Christmases, two more years that are true childhood. Only two before I don't live with my family, before I actually NEED to worry about money and college, before I'm actually stepping into the adult world. And i don't want to spend those years glued to my phone because of a kids website. I don't wanna look back and think "I wished I didn't spend my childhood stuck to a screen." I have so many goals for this summer, my best friend and I have already planned so many road trips and camping trips in our cars. I want to go to the beach every day, I want to have sleepovers in my friend’s trunk, and just appreciate the moment. I want to live my life to it fullest, to experience my childhood and make the best of the short time I have left before the expectations of the world are truly on my shoulders along with everyone else in my generation. I'm so excited yet terrified of growing up. I cant wait to cast my ballot in my first election, to make a difference in the world no matter how small, but at the same time I'm not ready to no longer be young, to not be just a teenage girl anymore. I'm so ready for so many experiences I'm excited to have, but I also want to live my childhood experiences to the maximum, and I know that the experience of Scratch.mit.edu isn't one i should continue to spend my time on. Please don't get it twisted though, I will never regret joining this website. I have met so many people who I absolutely treasure, been introduced to so many things that are now part of my daily life, and just been opened up to so many perspectives from lovely people all over the world. Like i said at the beginning, this website has brought so much love and so many beautiful memories into my life. The Swiftie community on here is truly full of the most positive, kind, and just loving people. You all have been there for me through so much and for that i am forever thankful. Leaving this community is the hardest part of leaving this website, because I know I'm gonna miss so many of you and i hope I've made enough of an impact on here, however small, for you all to miss me too. I'm truly not saying it right because ill miss you but more than you all could ever comprehend. i truly don’t think i’ll come back, i know every single person who leaves says this, but there’s a finality to this. The reason I never put out an actual leaving proj last time is because I knew in the back of my mind I would come back. But this time, I know it’s real. I’ll probably check in a couple of times, dfh release, after my Gracie tour , stuff like that, but I don’t see myself spending more than a couple days at most active during those check ins, and my goal is for someday those check ins won’t happen at all. This (hopefully) isn't just another break project, this is the real deal, I’m gonna be gone for good </3
that’s all I gotta say for now ❤️ there’s a project with notes a gifts and final goodbyes coming soon, so save the paragraphs for that. I’m not officially gone until after my Madison Concert, I wanna put out one more project. I still have some loose strings to tie up on here, and I think I’m going to revamp one last time. My birthday revamp felt so much like me, so it’s probably gonna be similar to that. I’m giving out my p1n to people who ask, i definitely wanna keep in touch with yall. But once i’m gone, i’m gone. Other than a few check-ins, this is it. I’m going to miss you all so so much, you don’t even know. There will be a note for this in the next project, but I cannot express how appreciative I am for everyone on here. My followers, my friends, my haters, my ex-friends, you all have made such an impact on my life, crazy as that sounds. I think I’ll remember my time on scratch for as long as I shall live, or I’ll try too. I just want to say thank you thank you thank you thank you. So yea.. that’s all. I hope you have guys have the best lives out there. Love you all more than you could ever imagine — fae ♡ Say you’ll remember me when… You listen to Sydney rose, you listen to Amelie, you see Peeta Mellark, you see the color pink, you drink a pumpkin chai, when it’s autumn, you see a bald person in Roblox, you read Acotar, you put too much pumpkin spice in a baked good, you read the selection, and ofc when you hear August by Taylor Swift Love you love you love you
