On the morning of November 3rd, 1954, two small fishing vessels were destroyed near the coast of the remote Odo Island. Of the 15 combined crew members, only one survived. When brought to a local hospital, the man was covered in intense radiation burns, and was reported to have spoken unintelligble gibberish, at some point mentioning the name "Gojira", before passing on due to his injuries. Upon questioning the locals, it was revealed that Gojira was a beast of Odo Island myth, similar to Varan, the beast of Baradaki tribe legend. However, unlike that beast, which was nohing more than mistaken dinosaur bones, Gojira would turn out to be all too real, and this attack would only be the first of several brutal waves of destruction. This was just his emergence.
