✧~Take your first step~✧ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hello there, Cato. You wanted to know why people used the term Pronounced a renounced earlier, correct? Alright then. Let me tell you an age-old story. Or, well... Hmm... Maybe not. You will not understand why, but others who will need to know this story may not understand, or dislike and persecute what you will hear. I will share an alternative. In a modernized world, there were two siblings, a male and a female. The female was always optimistic, often getting given things, even though she was always satisfied. She was always happy and never looked toward the darkness. But the brother looked into darkness and was pessimistic. He always had enough to satisfy him, yet always demanded more. Everything always went the way they wanted, even if one of them never saw it so. One fateful day, the two were riding in the back of their car. Optimism was humming to some music happily, and pessimism was pouting, as always. The day had gone normally so far, and they were visiting a friend. Then, a sudden push threw the car to the side from the back. A semi had rammed into the left rear of the vehicle, and the left side collapsed inward. Poor optimism was sitting on the left side and took most of the hit. She was immediately in critical condition. Pessimism got lucky. His sister acted like a human shield for him, and the only injury he sustained was a light scrape where his hip smashed against the car's side. Of course, she was immediately rushed to the hospital. It was close, but by some miracle, she survived. Over time, despite Pessimism’s immense luck, he got jealous. Optimism got everything she would ever want, and more. Anything she wanted to eat, she got. She was given gifts from all her family. She never had to help with anything. And even now she practically saved his life, pessimism grew to hate optimism for what he thought was hoarding all of the attention he wanted. Then, he got an idea. If he were as hurt as she was, maybe he would get that attention. Or, if he did worse, he would get more! He was so eager to do this that he started to plan what to do immediately. One day, he went into a separate room at the hospital, and he sl- ... ... .. He did something. What he did caused him to bleed a lot. And of course, he was taken to the ER and put into his own room. And to his envious delight, his theory was correct. He was given more attention than Optimism. Optimism didn’t care, but Pessimism did. He was overjoyed. As a child, he did what any greedy child would do. He demanded the spoils that were given to Optimism. And he got them. A few weeks later, the hospital refused to continue. He had repetitively demanded things of... Let’s say with high sugar content. (because, let’s be honest, what child, or adult at that, could resist a good sweet?) But, with how much he was demanding, he was having health complications. When they refused, he threw a tantrum. During this fit, he slammed his arm on a table. This caused the forced clot to explode, and the IV in his arm to slice through the vein in his wrist. It was an extremely painful experience, but that wasn’t the worst. He bled so quickly that it would have been better to lose a leg. Despite the hospital’s best efforts, he bled too much and went brain-dead due to that blood loss. And of course, you can guess what happened next. Of course, his family was devastated. The damage he had caused himself caused them to think his death was something different then the greed for attention Yet, Optimism still found a way to smile, being thankful for the life of, to her, was such an amazing person. She was satisfied with the little she had with him and hoped he could rest in peace. But, even as a spirit, Pessimism, wanted more, looking back on his life, and wanting to have gotten more, even though it was his choice. Funny, right? How much that darkness can actually do... It’s horrifying. Anyway, a person considered “Renounced” is “Alrha ra Vestiit,” meaning either, “A soul turned away,” or, “One of darkness.” This is a person relatable to Pessimism. A person known as “Pronounced” is “Alrha ri veril,” meaning, “Spirit of hope.” These are people relatable to Optimism. If you would like the real story, read ”Golden, 18:55” out of the tiiluk, to the end of the chapter. You will not know how to use this, Cato, but someone else will. That is all I have to say. Goodnight, for now.
