Name: Joey (not her real name tho) Age: 21 at the time of most of what I write/animate takes place, but the story she's in spans over three years. Power: SOULS idk what its called ah yes phantomkenesis Gender: Girl Sexuality: Lesbian (in denial abt it tho) Lore: (warning this is pretty dark, turn around and go home if you dont like dark themes I really dont wanna get banned.) : --------------------------------- Her mother was a native Russian, and her father was an American soldier. They met while he was stationed and fell in love. They ran away to the Americas and got married pretty soon after. They settled down in Wisconsin, and had three children, Aleksander, Ivan, and [Joey] but the mother died in childbirth. Their father was heartbroken but decided to name the children based on their mother's heritage. As they grew up, they had a lot of free time to roam as their dad was at work most of the time to support them. Alek was the smart, mischievous one who used his wit to get into trouble, and just as easily get out of it. Ivan was the re-enforcer, that knew less than he thought and was a stickler for the rules (bit of a prck if you ask anyone who knew him) and [Joey] was the curious but shy one that blended into the background and followed Alek around, insisting he teach her his tricks. One day when they were 15, after Alek had picked the lock that Ivan pushed to put on the pantry door, they got into an argument that slowly digressed and got more heated, Alek accidentally used a power he didn't know he had. He separated his soul from his body and snuffed out Ivan's like a candle, cutting down the root of his being and k1//ing him instantly. In shock probably (and in a spurt of them both mutually hating Ivan to no end) [Joey] revealed her position around the corner and asked Alek how he did that. He merely replied; "I can probably teach you, if you want." She accepted, and they hid his body in the creek near their house, in a little crack in the sedimentary that was later buried due to a rockslide. They explained to their father that he had been talking about a girl he met down the way, and how nice the downtown of Madison (the town) was, and that he probably just ran away. He was declared missing but was never found.
After a year of trying to call the power back (and eventually succeeding) they stowed away on a passenger train and ended up in a small town in lower Oregon. Picking up whatever jobs they could at sixteen, they managed to get rent for a basement in a small farmhouse. Alek hadn't yet lost his taste for minor crime, and would steal little things here and there, and it wasn't much, but it was something to do, as well as learning how to fight with weapons and fists, not souls. After about a while of living at the farmhouse, Alek started to take notice of a strange circus that was near their county. He looked into it and did a bit of self-research (probably spying and eavesdropping) he learned that it was a cover for an organization for people with powers to be better than humans, as a sort of upper-class. His fascination only grew. Once the family of the house they were living in left for a vacation, he popped the idea of joining to [Joey] and she instantly shut it down, saying that they should just be equal if it ever became known of in the first place. They argued for a bit, they started shouting, said things that they probably shouldn't've, and it soon turned physical, Alek grabbing the nearest tool (a scythe, cause, y'know, farm. ) and slashed at her. She grabbed a tool too, some sort of shovel, and they kept fighting. He hit her somewhere (secrets hehe) and she got him on the ear. (y'know how in Japan, when they TNR cat, before letting them go, they cut a lil triangle out of their ear to show they're spayed? Basically like that). After that close run-in, he gave up, and went to the circus on his own, becoming the sole member that joined without brainwashing. He quickly became Peach's sidekick? wingman? whatever you wanna call it. (Peach is the leader of the Circus, and the main antagonist of Melted Fingerprints) [Joey] felt thoroughly betrayed, and got trust issues, because the one person she'd idolized, learnt from, ran away with, and even hid a fricking body with just left her for some stupid circus. She wore a mask constantly and started calling herself and introducing herself as Joey (that's not her real name, if you didn't guess already, but I can't spill her name yet) After a while on her own, she gets a job as a Walmart cashier, and accidentally seperates from sleep deprivation (ON THE JOB) scaring the customer bc holy icantsaythatonscratch they just watched somebodies spirit leave their body. They call 911, and She gets taken to the H.E.C where they try (and fail) to understand just what exactly limits her power, and so they can't exactly class her ability on how dangerous it is. She stays there, becoming a sort of dark quiet kid bc nobody talks to her. Until lil Moosifer comes a long with her cut lil additude and optimisim, and just clings to her, talking to her over the course of a few days with literally no words spoken from Joey, until she cracks and becomes somewhat friends with Moss. ~~~The entire storyline of Melted fingerprintss~~~~~ ~~~Oh yeah and she kills her brother in like book 2~~~ AFTER THE STORY- she becomes friends with Mikel and lives with her and Moss in an apartment, and becomes an assassin with them, starting the story that is Trigger Warning. aka my current hyperfixation like it's almost unhealthy....
