Annican searched for the key, ignoring the fact that they had a key to his attic and they didn't, and found it in his pocket. It was made of smooth black stone. He studied it for a moment before shrugging and walking up the stairs to where the ladder to the attic was. He placed one hand on it and used the other to unlock the door, once done, he slowly moved back to let it swing open, the ladder fell down out of the door, dropping with a loud thud, spraying dust everywhere. Annican coughed from the dust as he breathed in. He narrowed his eyes at the ladder before placing one hand on a bar, testing the strength, and it held. He then continued to climb the ladder. Once he made it to the top, he studied his surroundings. It was your average attic with dusty closed chests of items and wooden walls. Except that now, it had a large purple floating orb in the center of the room. He gaped at it. It defied physics! It was just…. Floating there, glowing stubbornly at him as if saying ‘well? You gonna take me or not?’ he decided he didn't like it's attitude. He glared at it and said “I will in fact, just stop looking at me like that!” The orb still waited there, glowing defiantly. “Fine then, be that way!” The orb then shot out at him, and he held up his hands in mock surrender. “Okay, okay, jeez, fine. I come in peace” the orb calmed and gently landed on his shoulder, it felt cold and heavy, like a sphere of glass. “The lost is found!” He felt a rush run through him and just like that, everything was black, then he saw dots of blue and then green and purple. They all seemed to be stretching downwards. Which way was downwards? If he looked up, he felt he was going down, if he looked down, he felt he was going up. Then, sudden sunlight flared into his eyes, temporarily blinding him. Once he recovered, a young girl stood in front of him. Her eyes were golden, not your rip-off yellow, but pure gold. Her hair was blond, with red and orange dyed tips. She was wearing a black crop top and blue jeans. She was wearing an arrowhead necklace and had a bracelet that had yellow and orange beads with a dire wolf charm. She offered him a hand and laughed “Your just like all the others, dizzy yet?” Her voice was soft, teasing. He blinked a couple of times before his vision fully cleared, he took her hand and lifted himself up, brushing the dust off him. “No, should I be?” Then the head rush hit him. “Nope, nevermind! Head rush.” The girl laughed again “told you! Everyone always gets dizzy after they come out of the vortex!” “The vortex? Is that the portal thing I was just in?” His curiosity was overwhelming. “Yeah. Oh, also, the names Luner, I'm a fortune teller and my element is fire. Nice to meet you.” Annican paused, a fortune teller? “My name is Annican. I'm a shapeshifter… and I don't have an element yet” Luner grinned at him “well of course you don't, you just got here!” He couldn't help but feel stupid, of course he didn't, that was obvious, he just got here, he didn't have to say that. “Yeah…. Where do I get my provided items?” “I'll show you around, and show you where to get your stuff. I do need a new cloak anyways.” He just nodded, unsure of what to say. Luner turned and started walking down a hallway. There were crystal walls, quartz he guessed, and were framed with intricate designs created with oak. The floor underneath him was a velvety green carpet, the same green as the wax seal on his letter. Large stained glass windows dotted the hall with shapes like flowers and doves. The lighting in the room came from golden Chandlers hanging from the roof. This place was fancy, and he was not at all ready for it.
Luner : Lune-er (think of it like Luner New Year :) )
