If you are given three vectors with known magnitudes, what angles do they need to be at to cancel each other out? Or if they even can cancel each other out?
In physics, we did a lab where we balanced large disks on poles. We then took three weights and saw what angles they had to be apart from each other to keep the disk balanced on the pole, or in essence cancel each other out. It got me wondering if I could do this algebraically. After a while of doing this in weird ways with some completely ridiculous equations, I found it was actually very simple and decided to make a program that would do it automatically.
