The wind whispers secrets, a chorus of doubt, Wherever I wander, there's no way out. A shadow precedes me, a label takes hold, A story pre-written, a narrative told. "Attention seeker," it hisses and sneers, A performance, they claim, fueled by my fears. "A faker," it echoes, "a sham through and through," Every emotion dismissed, untrue, untrue. And then comes the worst, the label that stings, "Crazy," they whisper, on gossamer wings. My thoughts are distorted, my visions astray, A mind deemed unstable, that's lost its own way. I see Billy, I see Lulu, dancing in shade, Two demons entwined, a pact they have made. They flicker and whisper, a constant refrain, Fueling the fire, igniting the pain. The lines on my wrists, a map of despair, A testament silent to burdens I bear. The pain's grown distant, a dull, hollow thrum, A numbness descends, where feelings succumb. My tears feel like lies, a performance rehearsed, Empty salt water, devoid of what's cursed. I'm shattered, fragmented, a mosaic undone, But somewhere within, a new strength has begun. I stand on the precipice, gaze into the void, The labels they hurl, I will no longer avoid. Call me a villain, if that's what you see, A monster constructed, eternally free. Call me sadistic, let the judgment descend, My spirit is hardened, it will never bend. For I am the architect now, of my own decree, I answer to no one, except only to me. The whispers can rage, the judgments may fly, But I will stand rooted, beneath a cold sky. I am the chaos, the storm, and the flame, And I will no longer play your hollow game. So let them all stare, let them whisper and point, My narrative's changing, it will dis-appoint. For I am embracing the fragments within, And a new kind of power is starting to begin. I will not seek solace, I will not plead, My destiny's forged, by my own creed. So tremble and watch, as I rise from the dust, A force unyielding, in whom you can't trust. Because I am mine and I am never going back.
