Credit to @Gabrielshunsuke22 (original microgame idea), @BarryFans and the crew (BarryWare), @thinkingwithshifting (stage jingles + original project) and @TheScarfedStickman (idea of TV stage). The fifth microgame that @FreePlayArcade hinted to in https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1211162963/ is finally out, completing the BarryWare 4.0 collection! T'was actually first created during August, so it marks not just my first foray into the AidanWare Engine, but also my early return to more in-depth coding. The level structure and retheming date back a LOT further. Yes, I know this one's tough. Should still be manageable for seasoned microgamers. It gets very marginally easier with speed due to a slight desync regarding the gear's starting animation. With that said, it's time for a wiki-style rundown. Recommence not scrolling past this point if you wish to dive in blind..... A spherical robot hovers in the sharp-toothed inside of a silver gear, itself nested in a larger golden gear with four spiked spokes. The gold gear begins to turn in either direction, so the player must 'attach' the robot to their cursor, then follow the gear's rotation and avoid being impaled until time runs out. - Lvl1: There are no additional hazards. - Lvl2: The silver gear remains still, but gains four sharp spokes with gaps of varying altitude. The robot must pass through at least one gap to survive. - Lvl3: Same as Lvl2, but the silver gear rotates in the direction opposite the gold gear. Three gaps must be passed. [BEGIN DEV NOTE] = ASSETS = Discounting the command, this microgame uses 14 costumes and 1 backdrop. Rather light for my first outing, eh? = INTEGRATION = To add this microgame into BarryWare, the following must be done: - ⚠️ Update the microgame count. - Import these as usual: the sprites, backdrop, music and broadcast script (into the chain of if-loops). Didn't make any album assets.... - Remove all leftover comments, to trim the .json filesize. - Add the microgame's ID to the lists of mouse-controlled microgames. - If applicable, add to a speed list. - Import the command and it's vocal. - Import the 1 extra [SpikedClockwork] script into Stage. It's just the local timer. - If applicable, update the credits. [FINISH DEV NOTE] How was that for a first dev-note, Shifty? :3
