Keefe gripped Sophie's hand. "You're gonna be fine. We're going to get through this, and then we'll have two beautiful babies to show for it." "I know." Sophie sighed, squeezing Keefe's hand even harder. Hours passed. Finally two squeals broke the tension. Sophie turned her head to see Keefe holding two babies in his arms. "Are you strong enough to hold them?" "Oh, that's *cough cough* rubbish! Of course I'm strong enough." Sophie wouldn't meet Keefe's suspicous gaze. "Uh-huh. One at a time, because I don't believe you." Sophie rolled her eyes and reached out her arms. Gently cradling the sweet baby, Sophie said, "Elwin?" "Yes, Sophie?" "Is this one the girl?" Elwin flashed a light over the baby. "Yes. That one's the boy," Elwin pointed at the baby cradled in Keefe's loving arms. "They need a name you know. I think we should name this one-" "WE ARE NOT NAMING HIM HUNKYHAIR, KEEFE JR, OR ANYTHING SIMILAR!" Sophie said with as much force as she could muster in her weak state. Keefe gave her puppy-dog eyes and stuck out his lower lip. "Pu-lease?" "NO." "Fiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnne. What about... Basalt?" Sophie stared at him, saw his teasing, I'm-not-serious-at-all look, and giggled. "No... let's wait a couple days to see their personality.
(One Week later) "Welcome!" Sophie hugged Linh. "It's so good to see both of you! Wylie, how are you?" Wylie put his arm around his wife's waist. "Good. And..." Wylie glanced at Linh. "We would like to say something later." Linh finished. "Of course! And I'm guessing you're DYING to see the twins?" Linh blushed. "Well... yes," she admitted. Sophie gave a knowing smile. A knock sounded on the door. "Hello?" A gentle, accented voice called. Sophie ran to open the door. "Biana! Tam!" She grinned. "Sophie!" Biana hugged her. "Now... WHERE ARE THE TWINS?" Keefe stepped over. "Right here!" "Awwwww... Biana cooed. "Tam." "Keefe." Sophie pinched the bridge of her nose to stop herself from pulling an eyelash out. She had put on mascara, so that would've made a mess of her fingers. "It's been almost a decade since you guys met, and you're so similar you could be TWINS! But still you INSIST on being like this! Men are impossible," Sophie took the twins, and she and Biana walked away to find Linh. (Later) "Alright! We have three couples with one thing to say each! Who's going first?" Keefe said. Everyone pointed at him and Sophie. "Alright, Alright. Dex, drum roll please..." Sophie laughed. "Dum-dum-dum-dum," "The babies's names are Aria and Denver!" "Awwww!" Linh, Biana, and Keefe said in unison. "Keefe! You already knew their names," She said as she wacked his arm. Biana said she and Tam would go next. "Our thing is... WE'RE HAVING OUR OWN BABY!!!" Tam rolled his eyes at his wife's excitement. Keefe walked over. "Biana is going to start having really strange urges and food cravings. Comply unless it's dangerous. And keep her well fed, once I forgot to feed Sophie and she was as wild as Iggy." The imp sqeaked from somewhere, and swooped down and landed on Keefe's hair. "FINAL ANNOUNCEMENT!" Marella called. "ME 'N DEX HAVE SET THE WEDDING DATE!" Dex had propsed to Marella several months earlier. Loud clapping could be heard."Sorry we're late!" An even crisper voice called from the hallway. "Fitz, Maruca, and Kavien!" Sophie cried, and smacked her forehead. She darted into the hall. "Fitz! Maruca!" She was almost knocked of her feet when little Kavien Vacker hugged her legs. "Hi-hi, Auntie!" Her big purplish eyes sparkled. "Hey, Kay!" Kavien giggled at the rhyme. Sophie led the Vacker family into the Sencen's home: Oceanview.
