{Setting: Crisis City} Venice & Silver soar through the air with Florence in tow. Energy swirls around Venice once again to maintain his body’s functions. Flying past skyscraper remains and towers of smoke coming from below, they set their sights on the horizon. Nearing where they sense Iblis emerging from, they land onto a street broken to pieces, and dash down it to face the monsters tearing apart the area. Venice lingers behind, gasping for air, as Silver and Florence race into combat. Each eliminated minion of Iblis’ sends a small surge through Venice’s body to recharge him. He takes in a deep easy breath, then follows after his family. Remaining on foot, the hedgehogs run across fallen signs, launch up from exposed beams to raised sections, and Silver floats debris into the air to help his parents traverse across the wide gaps between city pieces. Breaking through scalding wind, they reach the eye of the fire storm, leading to a growing lava lake. The ground shifts under their feet, cracking around them, and they all leap onto the same piece of city as it rises. When it jerks to a stop, and the hedgehogs look on to see a pair of rocky horns peak over the cliff, growing taller, as a deep growl causes the area to rumble. Iblis’ head tilts up. The beast fully stands tall and proud, with lava running down its body. As the demon has done before, it rears its head back and belts out roar. It sends out a shock wave, and the hedgehogs brace themselves. They stumble back, but regain their balance with ease. All of them glare on as the monster wastes no time with starting its rampage. Smacking entire buildings aside and blasting fire into another part of the city. Silver & Florence bare their teeth in anger at it, but their faces soften as they peer back at Venice. Venice: *has his eyes shut, and his ears perked up, sensing Iblis’ intense power. He makes out the beast’s form, then takes a breath as his eyes reopen* … *puffs his chest, then rests his hands on Florence’s back and Silver’s head* … “Florence…Silver…please stay safe.” Florence: *small nod* We will, Venice. Silver: Don’t worry about us, Father. We’ll be fine! Venice: … *firmly pats them, then flies off towards Iblis* Silver & Florence watch Venice for a moment, then as they see Iblis’ minions appear, they split up to handle the groups of beasts. Iblis goes to bash in another chunk of the city, but a large chunk of debris strikes it in the head, causing it to stumble, then turn with a sharp gaze. Venice flies over and does a taunt gesture. Immediately, Iblis’ mouth glows, and it belts out flames towards Venice. Recognizing the sound, Venice darts across the sky to dodge. Below, Silver grabs up every nearby crate, car frame, and hunk of debris, to hurl them right for the small army of monsters. They’re all struck in the head, and fall to his attack, but are quickly replaced by more. Florence spin dashes an Iblis biter into another, then launches off them as they fade to kick in the mandible of an Iblis worm. Venice sends out multiple energy waves. They sail through the air and hit Iblis’ face. The monster cries out as its armor subtly cracks. Despite the output of psychic power, Venice can feel his energy building by the second thanks to his partner and son. All three of them fight, unwaveringly. Focused on their goal, as all at this time goes according to their plan… …but atop a building a shadow steps up and looms, leaning over the structure’s edge. He stares down, his eyes glancing between Florence & Silver. Otto: . . . *tightens his grip on his axe, and one of his eyes glows* As he focuses on Florence, he sees both her actions taking place in the present, and his future vision playing them out before they happen. He then looks farther into the future, and plans out an attack, seeing himself strike down Florence with a single blow. Otto: *takes in a sharp breath, then hops off the building to slide down it* The collie jumps off the structure’s side, right for Florence with the axe whipped up. A strange sense of dread shoots through Silver’s body, and he turns in his Mother’s direction. Otto gets caught in his sight. Otto: *sees his future vision shift* Huh?! A box crashes into his side. He roughly hits the ground and tumbles across the hot pavement. Florence: ! *glances towards the sound to see Otto lying on the street* O-Otto?! You’re alive?! Otto: *scowls as he thinks: What happened?! Did I do something wrong— but what—?!* Hm? *gets grabbed by his arm and Florence helps him up* Florence: *beams at Otto* Long time no see! In fact I almost thought we’d never see you again! Otto: *his brow twinges as meets her friendly eyes* … Florence: Are you alright? Silver: *flying towards them* Mother—! *a gazer shoots up from the ground in his path* Florence: *turns and sees a pack of gazers start surrounding Silver, then releases Otto to go for the monsters*
