w, space, up arrow, mouse click to go up. If you don't do any of those the hat goes down. When you pick your wave wait for them to go away or it won't change. If you don't click any wave it will be your most reascent chose. If you have just clicked the green flag and have no reascent chose it will be the straw hat. the size of the wave gets bigger the farther you go (there is a distraction sometimes)
