Alr, let’s do this. 1. Basic Shapes Using basic shapes to map out the body first can really help you structure it for later. For male bodies, using squares and rectangles can work best, though it depends on the body type you are drawing. 2. Body Shapes Not everyone works out on the gym 24/7, so try to be more inclusive when it comes to body type. Use references, take notes, watch some anime, or do whatever to see how many different body shapes there can be. Play around with a few, and find one that best suits what you are drawing. 3. Lines Male bodies, unlike female ones, have sharper edges and more prominent features. Including a sharper jaw, nose, or eyes, it changes the way that it looks, and makes it look more masculine compared to the rounded female body. However, this again can change whether you want a more masculine or feminine appearance. 4. References Sure, this is what every artist says, but references can really help you find what you’re really looking for. Look for a photo, or a drawing someone made. Look at how the light shines, where the shadows are, or how the body looks. Overall, looking at a reference can really open your eyes on how you can improve. And that’s all! At least… for now. I couldn’t think of anything else… Hopefully these helped, at least a tiny bit :) Remember, it’s all up to you! You have the creative freedom to draw whatever you want. Happy drawing!
