Hi yall! A lot of people hate rats, but rats are such amazing creatures!! Here are some REASONS: 1. Rats are super smart! Domestic rats (rattus norvegicus domestica) are capable of learning tricks, recognizing their name, and being litter box trained! These little guys are practically geniuses! 2. They are ADORABLE!! Seriously, look up some rat photos every once in a while. (I will admit that the tail is a little weird, but overall they are SO cute) 3. They are CLEAN!! Contrary to popular belief, rats are SUPER CLEAN!! They clean themselves both more often and more thoroughly than cats do, and as I mentioned can be litter box trained, just like cats. 4. Rats are empathetic! In a test where a rat had to choose between freeing a friend and a treat, most rats chose to free the friend, and then share the treat. Overall, rats are such amazing pets and do not deserve hatred! (I'm currently begging my parents to let me get some!)
