12/20/2025, 6:12 PM EST Welcome to S-POP WEEKLY's special report. Today's topic is NOVA LORE FINALLY!! Finally we're getting an actual rabbit hole to go down! Without further ado, The start of our rabbit hole is NOVA's third Instascratch post. The photo itself is not much, it appears to be a VIBE photoshoot. It's captioned "Dani said this is for the memories, in case we forget. The five of us are learning to move forward." What immediately jumps out at me is "the five of us," since NOVA only has four members, who is that fifth person? But the post's top comment might be feeding the answer right to us. A user called THEARCHIVIST_ comments, "The corner is pretty quiet." Some of what looks to be dialog in the project description tells us the NOVA members don't know who this person is. But wait, a new username? I looked, and that Scratch account exists. Their bio reads "sometimes i write things down." They only have one project, titled "A Greeting From the Archive" with nothing but a Canva link in the description and a random spiral symbol hidden in the backdrops tab. Following the link leads to a short video titled "Don't forget her," in which a figure in a black cloak talks about their goals - to keep track of memories. This project set my theorist alarms off in every way. First, a spiral symbolizes the journey of life. Second, this could be tied back to ex-member Athena, who could be the person the Archivist wants us to not forget. I always thought it was weird that "Five Stars" in their bio was crossed out and not deleted after Athena left. It's also been theorized that Athena was never a real person, and if she isn't real then that opens up a whole other can of worms. Hear me out: If she isn't real, that means NOVA had to have picked her name with intention. This is a very big "what if" right now, but what if this is connected to Greek mythology? I wondered, is there a Greek god that does what the Archivist does, since we haven't learned the Archivist's name yet? Lo and behold, there is. Mnemosyne, the goddess of memory and mother of the Nine Muses, minor goddesses in charge of creative inspiration. Leaders and poets were said to receive their "powers of authoritative speech" (aka, star potential) from her. And what are we tying this back to? A girl group. Obviously, having star potential is important for them. This could be why the Archivist has been watching NOVA so carefully. But I'm still wondering, what happened to Athena? Of all the dead/missing people on earth, why is the Archivist warning us not to forget her in particular? Furthering my theory that it is the actual goddess we're talking about here. Since the Greek gods can actually die or be injured in certain circumstances, maybe something happened to Athena, making Mnemosyne want to preserve her teachings even though they've never interacted according to myth? Can you tell I'm kind of grasping at straws here? I'll leave off here for now since we don't know much yet, the ARG is only two projects so far. But leave comments about your theories, I'll consider all of them! Accounts mentioned: Articles/forum posts mentioned: N/A Thumbnail: Harper (NOVA)
