https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/32136994/comments/#comments-311895216 - comment form —————— ◎ ◉ ◎ ˊˎ- snowdropkit opened her eyes to bright colors. thousands of them, everywhere, swirling together into bright spirals, like silt on the bottom of a stream. nomi assessed their surroundings. this was /not/ the mossclan camp. snowi was suspended seemingly in this air, but there was something solid and invisible under their feet. they looked down, dizzy when she saw nothing. what was this place? snowi scanned the horizon, alarmed to see a tall, round figure approaching. it seemed to be making noise; like an over excited bird in early leaf-fall. as it got closer, and the strange melody got louder, snowi realized it wasn’t one figure. there were three strange round creatures, all stacked on top of each other. how odd! snowdropkit considered running away, but they were scared to move. there was no ground after all. the round creatures got closer, all making the strange melody. it sounded like words now… murmured words suppressed beneath a cacophony of noises. the round creatures jumped off each other, ending their approach in a neat row. “welcome to the land of sickIy-sweet!” the red one called, the other round creatures nodding their agreement. snowdropkit squeaked, recoiIing as far as she dared. the green one looked at them forIornly. “it’s ok, friend!” they said, trying to make her feel better. nomi yelped again. “buh- buh colorful round things! but floating?? how? wh-where am i?” the blue one frowned at the words ‘round things’. “we really prefer the term,” the blue one paused for effect, their voice with a deep, elegant drawl. “droplets. and as my friend red said, we are in the land of sickIy-sweet.” snowdropkit stared at the blue one openly, amazed by it’s existence. “the most colorful, loud, amazing-sounding place in every dream you’ve ever had!” the green one added cheerfully. they closed in on snowdropkit, grinning eeriIy. “the most fun ever…” the three said in unison. snowdropkit backed up, slipping on what must have been the edge of the invisible ground. snowdropkit fell, fell, fell, and… kept falling? of course. this place was all sifting silt and bright colors. it didn’t have a ground; just that invisible platform. the droplets peered over the edge of the invisible ledge, watching nonchalantly as if snowdropkits fell into a bottomless land of sickIy-sweet every day! hey, maybe they did. this odd land bended every form of logic snowi could understand! just as they thought she was doomed to falI forever, they awoke in her mossy nest in the nursery. hmm… it was just a dream! no crazy swirls, no bright-colored droplets, and solid, visible land. snowi would never take visible stuff for granted again! “hmm…!” snowi murmured thoughtfully, resettling in their nest. that was what they had to say about this dream. just /hmm…/.
